We were so impressed with this very clean quiet hotel, like a small apartment, excellent for families, nice staff, even nicer than the Marriotts that we have stayed in. Very highly recommended!

I have just returned from a reunion with my friends at Habitat Suites! It is a fabulous place to stay! The rooms are wonderful, clean and very comfortable accommodations. The complimentary breakfast is outstanding and Happy Hour was "the icing on the cake!" I hope to stay there any time I am back in Austin. They should make it a chain for other cities around the US. Definitely, the price was right! Thanks for helping to make this a terrific visit to a great city!
Pros: Excellent breakfast!
Cons: Need to have some 2 bedrooms on the first floor. Stairs were a little difficult for some.

You'd never know you are so close to the freeway. It's a quiet, restful place to stay. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The pool is fantastic and doesn't smell of chlorine. Habitat Suites has a great free breakfast and serves beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks in the evening. The suites are huge and all have 2 TV's and a full kitchen. And they take pets! You'll feel comfortable here.
Pros: Quiet, Breakfast, Staff

I have actually never stayed in Habitat Suites, but I have put up visiting relatives on 2 occasions. My sister loved it so much that she vows to stay there everytime she comes to Austin. You will sometimes get rates $20 cheaper than the ones advertised on this site. My cousin got a great rate even in the midst of South by Southwest. The area of Austin is not glamourous, but it is really convenient to I-35 and Lamar. Complimentary breakfast and dinner are served, which my cousin really appreciated. It's also got all this pretty greenery and landscaping, making you forget you are across from the mall. The only negative thing my sister had to say was that the locks on the door were not child-proof. My 2 year old nephew nearly opened it several times.
Pros: complimentary meals, nice landscaping, close to I-35
Cons: no childproof locks

Peaceful courtyard, lovely landscaping, no toxic chemicals, vegetarian and vegan breakfast options.... Not to mention comfortable rooms and fully equipped kitchens. Its hard to leave. Location is not central, but its not far enough north to get you stuck in traffic trying to get downtown. Its a wonderful place.
Pros: good price, ecological, beautiful
Cons: location
