Rare find in any business

I am so very appreciative of all the information he took the time to give me. He really took the time to educate me on selling a family heirloom in the jewelry business (which I had zero knowledge of) and left me feeling enlightened. Because of the nature and reasoning behind the sale of my jewelry I simply felt greatful that he would offer his help. It's a rare find in business these days that anyone will spend any time with you at all much less do it for free with no hopes of making a profit. Very very grateful. He went above and beyond for my family.

I must say, even though he moved to San Antonio and he knew the chances of me going down there were slim, he still helped me out. He gave me a LOT of advice on how to sell a piece of jewelry I was trying to sell. If I were closer I would not hesitate to take my business to him. Thanks for all your help!!

Amazing Advice--Not in it just for the money

While looking for a jewelry appraisal, I happened upon T D Wernick Inc. Other stores were happy to accept $200 an hour or more to look at my piece, but this place was different (and much more reasonable). Instead of pushy tactics, I received advice on how to approach the vendor from which we purchased the piece and obtain a statement of replacement value. I may not need T D Wernick's services now, but you can be sure if I need an appraisal in the future, I will be contacting them again. Thank you T D Wernick Inc.

Great advice

I did alot of research while I was looking to buy a diamond, but TD managed to fill in some of the gaps in my understanding. He thoroughly understood the industry and gave me candid advice without any strings attached other than to write a review on Citysearch. He's a very knowledgeable guy who's willing to educate anyone looking for a diamond. I highly recommend anyone looking to buy a diamond to contact TD.

Quick-witted and brutally honest, TD gives it to you straight

I called TD based on a recommendation from a friend who used him several years ago. I was not disappointed with his breadth of knowledge or candor. I researched diamonds extensively before selecting one to purchase and was honestly just looking for an appraiser to rubber stamp the deal and say it was good. TD did not let me get away with that. He challenged each aspect of my purchase to ensure I knew what I was getting. He also suggested different qualities of diamonds to consider and ways to squeeze the diamond vendor to get maximum value for my money. A call to TD is well worth it for anyone considering a diamond purchase.

Knowledgeable, clear, refreshingly generous

A friend recommended TD to me when I had a need to find out if some old gold leaf product I had was the real deal. He spent time with me on the phone educating me about the process of determining the value of what I had, and openly shared the path he'd take to getting a quality bid for the material. His thoughtful and generous assistance was refreshing in an industry that people have come to feel very cautious around. I fully recommend TD Wernick and will be returning to him when I have any jewelry-related question.

Sound advice from an undisputed expert

i do not know d*** about diamonds or jewelry...but after a brief and very informative conversation with TD, i feel i am better equipped to make informative decisions about buying, selling, or having stones appraised. TD was extremely honest and friendly, and was empathetic to my situation (i am not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination). Although he has sadly relocated to San Antonio, he gave me a great referral to a local Austin jeweler whom he compared to a mechanic (as opposed to a salesman). I would recommend speaking with TD before doing ANYTHING regarding jewels. His advice was completely honest and unsolicited. I have not done any prior business with TD but he treated me like a friend or lifelong customer. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Best Jeweler Ever!

TD was very informative and a pleasure to speak with. His witty analogies and knowledge both impressed me and informed me on how to get rid of my girlfriend's old wedding band and engagement ring. The news wasn't great (for her), and I appreciated his candor. I will be calling him when I'm ready to propose and trust that I will be in good hands.

Best customer service

TD was so incredibly patient and willing to help even though I had a million questions. He took the time to explain everything in detail and tell me about all my options. I would definitely recommend talking to him before making any decisions. It's great to finally get some real honest advice for once. I feel much more confident now about my decision and definitely more knowledgeable. He definitely knows what he is talking about and will give it to you straight forward.
