Melee is sooooo much better. When I noticed she was acting strange, I didnt know how I was going to explain it. Dr. Jackson sat down with me and helped me figure out exactly what I was noticing. She was walking slower, not jumping, peeing outside the litterbox. Little things like that. Nothing big. I figured noone would understand. Dr. Jackson looked her over thoroughly and did some x-rays. Sure enough she had a ruptured disk. It could have gotten so much worse, but thankfully Dr. Jackson was kind enough to listen and get to the bottom of the problem. I would recommend her clinic above all others I have been to.

I am so happy that i found this vet clinic. This days it is hard to find a bargain - i found great care at a very reasonable price. I shopped on the phone and compared exam prices and rabies. They are the cheapest in town so i went there. I was very impressed from the place, they seem small from the outside but they are so high tech. They love animals, you can see that from the way they great my dog as he enter the door. The stuff is very friendly and always in a good mood. You can tell that they love their job. Dr Jackson was very nice and took her time to answer all my question. Not only that they did not rush me in and out, they really cared that i will know what i need to know about raising a dog. Since it is my first dog and the shelter did not give me any tips it took them quite a while to educate me; but they did not care. They even looked up some stuff for me on their computer system. Those days, when most doctors see you as a $$$, its really nice to know that there are some good ones left that practice quality medicine with the need of the animal in mind and not the wallet of the owner. Highly reccomended.
Pros: High tech, good medicine, low prices.
Cons: Not open Sunday

This is a real nice clinic. The receptionist was really friendly & efficient. The location is convenient to get to. Dr Jackson is very thorough in her exam. It is evident that she really cares about my cat & very knowledgeable about how to deal with difficult patients. The technician was very helpful & right there when she was needed. They have top of the line equipment incase we ever need it. Nice clean neat place. Price was reasonable.
Pros: efficient, friendly, caring, top notch

I recently needed a dental for my 10 yr. old retriever Sam. I hadn't been to McNeil Crossing before, but I was checking prices. I asked the receptionist if she could give me a quote, she explained that giving me an estimate over the phone is usually inaccurate especially without ever meeting Sam. She said they never treat anesthetic procedures as routine. She offered a FREE consultation for Sam and I, to listen to his heart, and look at his teeth. When I went in Dr. Jackson spent 30 minutes going over everything with me and explaining everything on my quote, she helped me tailor it down to something I could afford and was safe for Sam. I was amazed at the level of care she had for each individual patient. Most vets treat it as though they want to rush you in and out as fast as possible. I'm sure that there are other places in town who are cheaper , but I would hate to think of what corners they are cutting. You can go to a place that rushs you in and out and gets the job done for 200 dollars but you have to think about if thats what is best for your kids. I love Sam to much to just do the bare minimum. I found that the prices at Mcneil Crossing Animal Clinic were not only some of the cheapest in Austin!!! But for the level of care you receive the value is great! Thank You Dr. Jackson for all of your help and Sam's teeth look great!!
Pros: Caring staff, and Dr. Jackson is very patient
Cons: ??

I thought that I would have one vet. No not the case they have two and guess what!?! You have to bring your pet in for two office appointments just so that each of them can see your pet. Thats ridiculous. They aren't friendly either. No wonder the place is always empty.

I'm new to Austin and was impressed with the reviews for this place. However, I have not had a very good experience. I liked Dr. Zilka but she is not always there and I ended up having multiple vets calling me at a given time. This became very confusing and not happy that the vet I chose wasn't the one that was solely treating my pet. My pet also has medicine that he needs to be on every day. I had to go out of town unplanned and the vet (not Dr. Zilka but one of the other ones) told me that she would not refill my prescription until I brought my pet in. When I explained that I couldn't come in before I left town, she was very unsympathetic and boarder line rude...going into why I didn't plan better. I will never go to a place that won't work with you. It is very detrimental for my pet not to have medicine and it was unbelieveable to me that they would rather my pet not have medicine at all then to refill and have me come in at a time that was possible for me. Did I mention that they lost my files?

My dog is very sensitive and hated going to the vet. He would cry and growl at the old vet as soon as he walked in the room because he was never kind to him. We came to Mc.Neil Crossings because it was close to our home and I knew we I could no longer bring my dog to such an inconsiderate clinic. The experiences we have had could not be better. The staff is amazing and treats him with respect and care because of this my dog no longer minds going to the vet. It has been a huge relief for my dog and I.

I moved there after some bad experiences with other vets in the area. You can’t help but seeing the difference – clean place, friendly service. The new vet practice advance medicine. My dog had skin problems for years and she got it cleared in about 3 weeks. My old vet had me spend thousands of dollars and got me nowhere. Dr Z. used a slightly more expensive medicine that actually worked!!! As far as the cost, I shopped around and they are one of the cheapest in town. MY annuals came 50 dollar cheaper than the last time I was in Banfield. And I bought my Frontline at a cheaper price than pet med. Vet care today is a real expense, especially to someone on a tight budget like me. That’s why its great to find a vet that really care about my animals while working to lower the prices.
Pros: Low Prices , Great Doctor

Popcorn, Doug, and I wish to thank each of you for everything you did to make him well again. We all will be eternally grateful for your caring and compassionate treatment and medical care. Popcorn is 100% better and back to his old self ie. getting into everything!

I took my dog for a dental there and I got to admit – this small place is really good. You walk in, they know your name and your dogs name. I got into the room in about five minutes. Real red carpet treatment – not the feel you get in a walk-in place. Dr Z was great. I got a free consult and a detailed line by line estimate. Nice. She does everything by the book – no cutting corners. While it does add up a little to the price, it was worth it to me. I got to know that my dog is in good hands. But I can see how some people would not want to take the extra step. The girl in the front was very nice, and she called to check up on my dog the day after. Overall, I have found my Vet. Highly recommended
Pros: High Quality of medicine, Knowledgeable Doctor
Cons: Not the cheapest in town
