One of the WORST Owners with which I have done business by Karl G. at InsiderPages
Contributor at Insider Pages
I bought a toilet from them and when I pulled it out of the box when I got home, it had a huge crack in it. It was inspected at the store by them before they put it in my car, but they must have missed the crack. I brought it back right away, and the owner told me that I was lying and that I dropped it and broke it myself. I was absolutely amazed at that guy's arrogance and rudeness. I cannot believe that idiots like that are allowed to run a business - it is obvious now why the country's economic situation is so dire when you have greedy morons running these businesses. Please DO NOT EVER use this place. The staff is fine, and quite helpful, but they are all obviously fearful of the moron owner.
RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!

Considering the economy, you would think small business owners would be bending over backwards to keep you from shopping at Home Depot or Lowe's. I went in to buy a hand held shower head attachment and Jenniferlynn helped me. She was nice but really had no clue what she was talking about. I told her the minute I stepped foot in the door that I needed the shower head TODAY. She acted like that was possible and spent the next 40 minutes selling me on a Grohe shower head. So, after wasting 40 minutes of my time, she informs me she has nothing in stock and that I would have to wait 2-3 weeks. I came home and found an online store that sold it $25 cheaper and offered free, 2 day shipping. Of course I am going to buy from the cheaper, faster place. Who wouldn't? When I received the item, it did not have the hose attachment so I called Austin Plumbing and spoke to a man who sounded like the last thing we should be doing was handling a customer service call. I told him my situation and that I needed to buy a hose from him and he was so rude and condescending. I pointed out that he was being ugly to me and asked him if he wanted my business and he basically told me that I was silly for getting on the internet and buying things online when I don't know what I am doing. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! I have NEVER had someone use that sales tactic on me. I told him it was his fault for not having things in stock, not to mention his stuff is overpriced. I hung up on him. I will NEVER step foot in that place again.
- Pros: none
- Cons: Nasty, Berating and Insulting Store Owner
Austin Plumbing Supply Cretins

Buyer Beware. Oh why did I not read the reviews on Austin Plumbing Supply before shopping there.
Austin Plumbing Supply is a fine print vulture. No returns after 48 hours. They will steal your money. They refuse to even issue store credits, even when the goods have been returned.
After reading the bad reviews from three different sites on Austin Plumbing Supply, and especially the comments about the owner, Bil Sullivan, I can't but help believe Mr. Sullivan has some kind of personality problem, is emotionally disturbed.
How does he stay in business other than duping hapless viewers of his television commercials.
- Pros: Worst of the Worst of the very Worst Thieves
- Cons: Worst of the Worst of the very Worst Thieves
Austin Plumb'g Supply DeceptiveBusinessPractices Nasty Owner
by Citizen Consumer at Citysearch
This was one of those consumer encounters that will just send you away from the economy in general.
Bill Sullivan, owner of Austin Plumbing Supply, sells wrong product for the application described by his customer. When customer brings product back describing why said product won't work in this application, Mr. Sullivan dispatches customer back to check on another aspect of the application. When customer returns for the third time to report sure enough, neither product will work, Bill Sullivan says his return policy is time expired and refuses to issue refund.
Austin Plumbing Supply also dresses up its showroom product - in this case low flow toilets - by replacing plastic flush handles with metal handles . Customer goes home with product only to find he/she has to make another trip to purchase custom handle to make product look like showroom product.
Oh, too boot, it turned out that Crump Plumbing Supply was selling the same models at 10% less.
You won't catch me in this business ever again.
Mr. Sullivan, we will be seeing you in small claims court.

WARNING - not do business with Austin Plumbing Supply‎
by lindann at Citysearch
I thought I was doing the right thing going local - wow was I wrong. I purchased $1900 worth of plumbing supplies as my bathroom was gutted. My plumber was ready to do the work. I told them how important it was to get this asap. That was 10 weeks ago - I still do not have my order and excuses are still being made. *I was told that they had the rough ins in stock and it would take 2 weeks to get everything else.* Absolutely NOT TRUE - they lied to me! It took a month to get the rough ins- absolutely not true they had them in stock - I found out the next day when I came to pick them up. It is now the end of August and I still do not have my order. They constantly make up excuses, tell me they will call me back, they don't. What a mess. The owner told me it was no big deal - "plumbers aren't busy, they have nothing to do" What about me being without a bathroom for almost 3 months! Crooks. Maybe they aren't paying their bills and suppliers won't ship - something is going on there. STAY AWAY!!!
- Pros: pretty showroom - but it stops there
- Cons: Dishonest, 10 weeks and waiting for order promised in 2 wks.
Yet another dissatisfied customer
by paco2 at Citysearch
Ashley (an employee)ordered a trim kit for my shower that "would surely fit". Well, you guessed it, the wrong trim kit was ordered. So, I walked in Tuesday to return it. What a suprise! What American Standard called an off the shelf item became a "custom order" item and that I would have to pay a re-stocking fee (my 2 week delivery quote became 6 weeks by the time it arrived!). When I questioned this, Bill Sullivan (owner)said I was abusive. He refused to exchange the kit for another and refused a refund to me. Yes, I am out $268. The lesson I learned is that if I only looked up the tripple B rating (yes, it is an F rating) or read these reviews, I could have saved myself the time, trouble, money and not given Sullivan the satisfaction of robbing yet another person.
- Pros: learn to be rude by Bill
- Cons: everything--do not do business with these folks
Terrible Customer Service
by ShebaMann at Citysearch
I called trying to get some help/information on a toilet my mom purchased from them and was having trouble with. She had trouble with the original purchase too, so I should have seen my call would be wasted, but I wanted to try and help her. I talked w/Bill Sullivan and he was angry, rude and defensive. He wasn't listening and tried to twist my words around. I couldn't believe his attitude, as I was not ugly, yelling or rude, until I did some online research and have read so many different reviews from many different forums and the majority have been very negative. The majority had the same experience I did with Mr. Sullivan. It is unbelievable that he is in the customer service business, but he doesn't know the meaning of the words. He is a very unhappy man and I feel sorry for him. However, I will never refer anyone to him, just away from him and his business. I get much better customer service from Lowe's or Home Depot or for specialized needs, Ferguson's or Moore's Supply. I would tell anyone not to go there!
- Pros: None
- Cons: The Owner
If you enjoy poor service and paying more than everyone else
by brianwinterton at Citysearch
This store was recomended by what must be a relative or someone who owes money to the rude and abusive owner as I can't think of one redeeming trait associated with this business. We were treated fine until I questioned the pricing of a shower faucet. The price was reduced by 25% and then we were saddled with a $75.00 overnight fee that ultimatly didn't arrive for two days. (no refund and treatment like we had contracted leporosy) A toilet that is the largest selling offered by Toto didn't arrive after waiting six weeks and again no refund. repeated calls were not returned. I only wish we had read the reviews prior to orderring with this company and will make sure to spread the word about Bill Sullivan and his band of outlaws.
- Pros: next door to a cupcake shop
- Cons: poor service, high prices and general dissatisfaction
Wish I had read these reviews first

I can't believe in this day and age with smart business owners doing their best to retain customers, that Austin Plumbing can even stay in business. We paid for our supplies - $2,700 - and an additional $75 for overnight delivery on faucets. The faucet didn't come and they refused to refund the overnight fee. We waited on a toilet for 7 weeks, despite weekly phone calls on the status. I finally gave up and found another toilet locally. The owner, Bill, refused to refund us saying "you didn't tell us you needed it sooner". He's an a******, could care less about customer service and I regret purchasing anything from this store. Don't forget to read the fine print on their statements ..... products non-refundable ..... since they won't tell you they will never meet your deadlines.
- Pros: They have the products you need
- Cons: Not worth the hassle and horrific service attitude
Worst Store Ever
by Austin2509 at Citysearch
Austin Plumbing Supply is absolutely terrible. The salespeople are rude and unintelligent, once they get your money all customer service is out the window. I was told on multiple occasions that a sink I had ordered had been sent out and would receive it in 5-10 days, but it wasn't until 26 days after my initial purchase did I get the sink. The manager is an a**. I advise everyone to go somewhere else for their plumbing supply needs. Austin Plumbing supply is completely and utterly awful, in every way imaginable.
- Pros: Nothing
- Cons: Everything about the store.
$250.00 lifted from my pocket!
by dalcrow at Citysearch
This place is the worst business I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. First of all they shorted me on my order by one faucet. But on the paperwork they conveneintly gave me it had one faucet instead of two faucets. I didn't catch it until I got home and looked at the original receipt. When I called about when I would get the other faucet, I was told curtly, "It's on backorder.". The once charming sales girl, Ashley could not answer my question as to when it had been ordered or when it would arrive. When I said I had a plumber scheduled in 3 days, I was told that I could have the faucet sooner if I paid and extra fifty bucks! That's when I got introduced to Bill Sullivan, the owner. Bill was gruff. Bill was rude. Bill acted like it was my fault. Finally he consented to pay the fifty bucks.
Then the plumber came. The faucets they sold me would not fit on the levers that I had in my house! The plumber suggested that I take them back and get the kind that would fit. I went to Crumps Plumbing instead and just paid for new faucets because I knew that Bill was never going to give me my money back or new faucets. I noticed on the receipt that I couild not take them back ever because Bill Sullivan has a 48 hour return policy! The total cost for me to buy the correct faucets and from Crumps was $250.00.
I plan to donate the useless brand new faucets to Habitat for Humanity. I'll bet Habitat for Humanity loves Austin Plumbing supply. Think of all the brand new fixtures they must get from the unfortunate patrons of this gyp-joint.
Basic point: Don't go there!!!
