The BEST DELI in Austin!
by feedmeCmore
Little Deli is an adorable little lunch spot in the heart of Crestview. Sandwiches are served on fresh bread piled high with razor-thin sliced meat and the freshest of vegetables. I have eaten here at least 100 times and never been disappointed. Excellent Reubens, awesome Roast Beef or Ham and Cheddar, and an absolutely amazing Classic Italian sub. Since changing owners about a year ago, the soups have gotten even better (especially the Broccoli, Cheese and Rice), but the sandwiches have remained the same superb quality they have always been. Also, there is a special meal every few days, my favorite being Crispy Taco Day, which is every other Thursday. If you have not been here, you must try it once. I guarantee you will leave with a smile on your face.
- Pros: Excellent service, speed, accuracy, quality and consistency.
- Cons: They are supposed to start being open on evenings and weekends, but currently are not.
Just plain good sandwiches
by airjordanpj
The Little Deli is one of the best sandwich shops in Austin. The owner will greet you like a long time friend and the sandwiches are great. I try really hard not to get the ruben every time that I go there, but most times I fail because that is a good one. It's in a nice old 50's style shopping center with plenty of parking. If you have not tried this place yet and have lived in Austin very long, then you are missing out.
- Pros: Great ingredients, Great food, Great service.
- Cons: Might not be the best place if it is raining.
Love at every bite...

I absolutely love their sandwiches, and their potato salad is the best I've ever had in a restaurant!!! I've been cooking professionally for a long time now, and will always recommend this place.
- Pros: Their food
- Cons: Their size and location
Daily lunchtime crowds crave hearty sandwiches, down-home atmosphere and owner Lucretia's sarcastic humor.

In Short
People drive all the way across town to savor the flavors at this friendly neighborhood deli. Cozy seating includes outside benches and tables with checked tablecloths. In 1994, owners Lucretia and Jonathan Doyer expanded their original stand. The community embraced them, as the photos and letters covering their walls will attest. The heat-packed etouffee features succulent crawfish, cream sauce, scallions and rice. The vegetarian sandwich has heaps of cheese, artichoke hearts, avocado and marinated eggplant.
roast beef lover's heaven!
by zenith15
This place is a paradise for sandwich lovers, especially roast beef! The roast beef is rare, lean and top of the line--no gummy, shaved shoe leather here! Get avocado added to your sandwich and ask them to grill it for you! Deviled eggs are usually available on modays and tuesdays, and the deserts are wonderful! The staff is friendly and will remember your name.
- Pros: friendly staff, personal service, great food
- Cons: short hours, not enough seating, a little bit pricey
Delicious

I was hesitant to try Little Deli at first because of its plain jane name, however that taught me to never judge a book by its cover. The food is delicious my favorite item being the grilled cheese with mixed cheeses. The only con to this restaurant is once you try one of their grilled cheeses you will never want to eat a grilled cheese anywhere else!
Best deli period!
by thomasallen
This small corner deli has the best deli sandwiches I have ever had anywhere! There is not a sandwich they make that does not make an A+. I can't believe it isn't already rated higher -- come lunch time, there is always a line out the door. My co-workers and I drive 30 minutes there and back (thus an hour and a half lunch) during our lunch break to have this delicious meal. And the "mom and pop" atmosphere is right at home in Austin, TX. Truly the best deli in Austin.
- Pros: Owner will remember, your name after your, first visit!!
- Cons: Not open long enough!
A funky, friendly deli
by oldguyrocks
A small family-owned deli in a small strip center
in North Austin (also home to one of the few
remaining independent grocery stores), Little Deli
is opened 7-3 weekdays. It has good breakfast
foods(incredible biscuits), but the sandwiches are
the star. Roast beef with horseradish mayo, a club
to die for, homemade desserts (as long as they
last), and a really neat downhome atmosphere,
where everybody does seem to know everybody's
name.
