Heaven for oenophile and gourmand alike.
by Contributor
In Short
Select a delicate bottle of Poli grappa, then walk no more than six feet to the beer cooler for a 12-pack of Natural Light. Get lost in the chilly rare wine room, where you can find a very small bottle of Orlando Vin Santo, vintage 1990. Next, head into the deli to find sauces, marinades and chocolates, not to mention fresh pizzas, cheeses and various cooking tools. Or splurge on ostera or sevruga caviar.
Like shopping in 2005 since the food expired then
by FrankGuru
Let's see where to start... Food products sold past their expiration dates. Cheese and meats with massive amounts of mold growing. Olives with some sort of pondscum atop. Dusty shelves full of product that looks as if it hasn't moved since the store opened. Topped off with rude cashiers and premium prices leave this Austin darling feeling like sloppy seconds instead of a premium edition. The beer selection is excellent and the beer guy is awesome. Maybe they got confused when the better with age thing and the wine got mixed with gourmet. This poor puppy has gone downhill fast.
- Pros: Large selection of wine.
- Cons: Gourmet department in shambles. Selection of wine is mostly mediocre or poor.
Slow service in the deli
by foodie39
Slow service -- went in for lunch on a slow day -- 20 minutes later my pizza hadn't gone in the oven. It was not worth the wait. Far yummier fare elsewhere and much faster. Better liquor prices with the new kid in town. Grapevine is off my list...

Best Wine Selection in Austin
by susanholland
Best Wine Service in Austin. I have been in the store on many occasions looking for an appropriate gift for a client or friend and have worked with a staff member who came up with the most wonderful suggestions-in my price range, taste, and style. They have also gone out of their way to order special wines for me that were requested by friends. The best selections of wines and accessories anywhere!
- Pros: Service is the best, plenty of parking, great hours
Great Advice

Grapevine Market has incredible staff. They can find a wine to match just about any need - red wine that works with Thanksgiving dinner, done. Non-alcoholic wine that actually tastes good, done. The perfect wine for the birthday girl, done.
They also have a wonderful food selection and work with local chocolatier Rix, incredible!
- Pros: well informed staff and wide variety
- Cons: can't think of one
Just found this place! Awesome store!

I have checked out a ton of places BUT I found Grapevine on here and went - They have the goods for wine in town. I bought two cases and then some "nick-nack" gifts for a couple of birthdays. May not go back for awhile since I definitely dropped some coin this last trip.
- Pros: Selection
- Cons: None
