Unbelievable!

We recently got a BMW Z4 and wanted to make sure it lasted as long a possible. The BMW dealership recommended Sun Tint for a clear shield. We had it put on in January and were extremely happy with the quality, price and staff at Sun Tint. About two months later, the car was viciously attacked by a curb and the clear shield had a bad scrape. I took it in to see if it could be repaired or would require replacement. He said that the bad part could be patched and would only take about an hour. He quoted a ridiculously low price. When I brought the car back, the repair was done in 45 minutes, looked absolutely beautiful and cost nothing. These people really know the value of good customer service. They are knowledgable, fast, provide great quality and don't charge enough for their service.

They tinted my car several months ago and I could not be happier with the work. Zero bubbles. Staff was helpful. I have already recommended them to others.

Excellent Customer Service

Hi, I had the Clear Paint Protection installed on my white car about a week ago and absolutely love it. Very professional service and gave recommendation on a better film that wouldn't fade because of my white car. I did notice some peeling around some areas so I brought car back for a checkup. They were able to fix it quickly and nicely. Thanks!

Great and I mean Great !.... Customer Service.

I recently had my 08 Audi TT tinted at SunTint and they did a great job and the price was very fair. I love the results. Here is where I believe they went beyond the product and into exceptional customer service. There was one issue with the driver?s side window, a scratch. They looked at in felt it was in the original glass. I agreed. The challenge was getting a proud Audi dealer to see that. Russell, one of the owners spoke with the Audi dealer and we were able to finally get the window replaced on warrantee. I returned the car to SunTint at 4 in the afternoon and they replaced the tint immediately and did not even charge me for replacing the tint on the new window. Great job SunTint! If you are looking for a great local company, run by honest and very capable folks, go and see for yourself, I do not believe you will be disappointed. In fact you might be writing the next five star review!

Best tint job in AUSTIN / Round Rock Area...ROCK ON SUNTINT !!!

WOW...really did a great job on my 2008 Prius.

1) The shuttle service back to work was ideal.

2) People are REALLY FRIENDLY and took the time to explain all details.

3) Service was done fast, fast, fast ....left car at noon picked up at 4:00pm....cool.

-I choose the CARBON tint as it has lifetime guarantee from fading...

This made my car not only feel cool inside...but look cool on the outside.

** Same job was priced twice as much at "Mother's"....

MOST IMPORTANT---Please pet TUCKER the old golden lab who will undoubtedly greet you at the door, wagging his tail with love in his eyes.

• Pros: shuttle service at drop off...or nice lounge to wait in.
• Cons: On W. Koenig Lane...which gets some hairy traffic at 5:00pm on weekdays

Must have 5% of window with bubbles or won't replace, Scratches windows.

I took my brand new '08 Scion Tc to Sun Tint and I'm living with the regret now. Soon after leaving the first (of three) appointments I realized that all 5 of my windows (four front, and rear window) had bubbles in each of them, there were some scratches and crimps on the driver side windows and both front windows were cut too short on the sides (so basically there were huge gaps on each side).

When I came back for the second appointment I was told by Ronnie that only the front four windows would be redone. When I asked why the back window wasn't replaced I was told that they only replace window tint that has more than 5% of the window with bubbles. So basically the man was telling me that it was too bad for me that there were bubbles on the edges of my back window, as long as it wasn't more than 5% then I had to just deal with it.

A couple of days later I noticed bubbles and a scratch on the back driver's side window. This time when I came back the owner (Mr. Haertl himself) was there, on a Saturday morning no less. He rubbed his finger on the window and tried to tell me that the scratch was on the outside of the window, he actually had me rub my finger while saying "Do you feel that". His own employee then told him and myself that it was actually on the inside and not the outside. Lie #1. So then Mr. Haertl told me that it was there before I had the tint put on. He told me there was no way his people scratched the window. He messed up when he told me that they don't put tint on windows that are scratched. So if my brand new window was scratched how come they put on the tint two times before that day. Lie #2. Basically I'm just telling everyone to do a check (with the owner's or employee's) of your windows before they touch them. Because if they scratch them they won't take responsibility for it. If they did they would have to replace the window itself and that would take money out of their pockets.

Yes, that?s right, we?re not perfect but we always do our best to make all our customers satisfied with their window film or clear paint protection film. There is an industry standard which says a 5% tolerance for silver specs, bubbles or imperfections are allowable because, we simply do not live in a dust free environment & in most cases, this phenomenon doesn?t show until the film has cured for a while. However, if we think we can get a cleaner install, we will redo a window even if it takes more than once. As far as the other issue, it?s very difficult to see a scratch on clear glass until it is against a darker background such as window film. And frankly, it?s very common for new cars to have scratches on the windows; we see it all the time. The tools we use to install film are plastic & rubber thus incapable of scratching glass. We are planning a road trip to Atlanta in the summer and knew we needed our car windows tinted for our two year old who would be in the back seat in the hot sun. We knew nothing about tinting windows AT ALL and didnt know where to start. I found Sun Tint here on Citysearch and after reading the reviews , we decided to give em a call. I talked to Denise and explained to her that I needed my windows tinted. I told her I had no idea what I needed:) She then asked me a few questions and recommended the best film for my needs...She was super friendly and knew her stuff:) They didnt try to sell me something I wasnt gonna need or wasnt going to be happy with which is rare now adays! I called later to set an appointment and Ronnie was able to get me in at a time that was going to be best for me...Another "wow..COOL" moment:)

I went in and a bit worried since I had my 2 year old daughter and my 7 year old nephew with me...Didnt know how well they would do for the 2 hour time frame they had told me it would take...I had nothing to worry about..I was in at 11 am and my car rolled up, ready for me to drive away in at 11 50 am! WOW These guys are fast but their workmanship is impeccible! Dont think because these guys are fast, they cut corners! They are good at what they do and they have perfected it! I was so impressed with the guys a Sun Tint from the first phone call to the time I drove away,...I have even recommended my mom to them...She lives in Waco but I told her it was worth the drive to get the quality of service you get here! And their prices! Wow...These guys have the best of both worlds...Great prices AND even greater service! You Guys ROCK!

Great customer service

Had front windows on my FJ done last October. While cleaning my Fj I noticed a square blotch on the drivers side window. At first I though it was some surface dust and tried to remove with a microfiber towel. No luck.....returned to Sun Tint, they looked over my problem and half hour later I was out the door with a newly tinted window at no charge! That is excellent service. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get their car windows done.

70% Satisfied but they earned another 30% in the end

I bought a brand new car and this shop was the first thing on the list when I googled for "tint shop" in my area. I just walked in, and luckily they were able to tint my car the same day. After 1.5~2 hours of waiting, I received my car back and I loved the work they've done. Then I left thinking i'd never had to come back again. WRONG! after three days or so, I found hundreds of bubbles on the rear windshield, especially on the dot matrix area. Also there were few bubbles on one of the front windows as well. I went back to the shop and complained, and they were happy to redo em for me.(except I had to wait 2+ weeks) They redid the rear windshield with what they called a 'special glue' but eventually it did no better than previous one.I don't know if it's common w/ other cars as well but almost every HONDA 08 ACCORD COUPE has this problem.so if you do happened to have this car, I'd suggest leave the dot matrix area tint-free or cover it with black vinyl. At last, on my 3rd visit, I just told them to cut& pull off the flim above the dot matrix line.

It looks little weird but its whole lot better than milky white bubbles. I'll just put black vinyl on it later.

btw, Ronnie was very helpful and kind enough to offer rides. Thanks again.

If you live in austin or neighboring cities, use this shop & you won't regret it.
