Knowing how to order a cab makes a difference.

I've both driven a cab and used them on a regular basis. They CAN be unreliable if in a bad part of town. They can also be unreliable during special events like the ACL festival. This is why when you find a good driver you ask for his card, and tip well for good service. It is much better to be able to call your driver on his cell phone then rely on a third party.

• Pros: Call a drivers cell phone, not the company.
• Cons: Take your chances with the company

Worst Cab

I've lost count...Call me stupid, (I tend to give people additional chances) but I attempted to use these guys for more than six months, and I have had many cases where they didn't even show up, they showed up and didn't call and left, and more. My latest (and last!)? Two very important clients needed to get to the airport, I called way ahead of time, the pick up was scheduled, and then they didn't show up. When I called to find out where the taxi was, I was informed that there were no cabs. They didn't even bother to let me know, I had to call THEM! My clients had to flag a taxi down at the street, a very difficult thing to do in Austin. If anyone knows of a reliable cab, it would be great if they posted the name.

• Cons: MANY!

Not reliable

More than once I had to drive myself to the airport because they didn't show up. Today they didn't show up twice! They caused me to miss one flight so I scheduled a later flight and later taxi and they didn't show up again! They come to my house on a regular basis, they know where it is, I'm in their system with directions and they still fail to show up twice in one day. Again, this was not the first time I had to drive myself to the airport because of these idiots. You simply can not depend on them.

• Pros: Can't think of any.
• Cons: Drive too slow., can't follow directio, unreliable.
