Since reading such great reviews of Twin Lions, we gave it a try for lunch on a Sunday...and we were VERY disappointed. The buffet only featured about six dishes, which were cold. Most of them were empty, and the food was never replenished with fresh dishes...once they ran out of a dish, that was it! We would not recommend, nor would we ever return!
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: smallest buffet I have ever seen, food on buffet was never replenished

So as you can see there are alot of great reviews for this restaurant. Try the wonderful chicken! It is probably one of my most favorite dishes. They use all white meat, then fry it with a wonderfully sweet and salty sauce almost like a sesame chicken. The waitstaff is very good. And they do keep your drinks full and your food always comes out hot and fresh. They do have a lunch buffet on the weekends although it is over by 2pm. If your looking for good chinese, thats affordable they wont disappoint.
- Pros: Great Food, Good Service, Affordable, Togo orders ready in 10mins(most of time)
Extremely yummy and great service

We've been twice for dinner and everything we've tried has been beyond delicious. I am addicted to hot and sour soup and Twin Lion's is one of the best I've ever had....lots of veggies in a nice thick broth, with great spice. We've also tried the Wonderful Chicken, General Tso's, MuShu Pork and Fried Rice...all of which are exceptional quality. The staff is very friendly, tea refills happen often ;) The restaurant is very clean with a nice atmosphere. They have a great selection of seafood entrees, which I intend to try at our next visit.

Well when my honey and I went there, we expected a buffet but there wasnt one. BUT we figured we'd stay and try it out. Great service and good food! Not so bad afterall...
With over 200 dishes on the menu, this restaurant serves up Chinese comfort food and a handful of Vietnamese specialties.

In Short
Szechuan and Hunan cuisine accompanies a classic Chinese restaurant decor of painted carved murals, Chinese lanterns, maroon tablecloths and rosewood chairs. A steady crowd strolls in for the lunchtime specials that come with soup, an egg roll, fried rice and a fortune cookie. The dinner hour brings a larger carryout business from the myriad of chef's specialties and the Vietnamese dishes buried underneath them. On weekends, a lunchtime buffet includes regular menu items.

I love Austin, and when I tour Austin I always stop at Twin Lion on Braker. The wait staff is awesome, great people. They're always very friendly and well, like someone else mentioned - my glass is never empty.
I've eaten at lots of Chinese restaurants in Austin, all of them taste like they get their food from the same supplier. Not Twin Lion! They're food, VERY affordable, is also VERY fresh and tasty. Non of that gross grizzly chicken, or "nothing but fried bread" pork. Twin Lion's meats and vegetables taste fresh and hot! THE BEST IN AUSTIN.
- Pros: Best Chinese Cuisine in Austin.
- Cons: Parking spaces are narrow.

I've been a fan of Twin Lion for 10 years. Instead of Sesame Chicken (my favorite), they offer a dish called Wonderful Chicken that is phenomenal. Just sweet enough, not too much soy, just right. The chicken is the perfectly crispy, tender, and fresh. The servants are attentive and always keep my cup filled without me asking. Half the time I don't even notice them. Most of the lunch specials are $4.75 or $5, if memory serves. Great value, highly recommended.
- Pros: Wonderful Chicken, Attentive Waitstaff, Great Prices
- Cons: Busy, Small Dining Area
Consistently good

I'm a Twin Lion junkie! The food is consistently good and the service is always friendly. I've tried several items from their menu and I've been pleased with everything! During lunch the line forms outside the restaurant - would be nice if they expanded.
- Pros: Excellent Food
- Cons: Expand your facility!
