Great places for your dog to run and play and swim beautiful views of downtown and lady bird lake watch out for dog mess everywhere though

Off the leash

Thought it important to note, that the "insider tips" listed for Auditorium Shores is incorrect. If you go to the 1st St. bridge area, it is the dogs-off-the-leash-park. We go there to watch them run around.

And there is not a ton of parking, unless you are willing to hike, like on the hike and bike trail.

Outdoor concert venue on the Town Lake shores. Also serves as a popular picnic and hike-and-bike trail.

Austin DNA

Listening to live music at this venue embodies Austin at the heart. With the growth of this town, even 6th St. isn't the same. But, here you can still experience the essence of Austin as it was 20, 30 years ago.

• Pros: Parking aplenty, Right on the lake, Close to food & fun
• Cons: Not enough concerts
