Finally...a doctor who knows what they're doing!!. I’ve had my share of skin issues, and FINALLY, I have found a dermatologist who knows what she’s doing! For years, I suffered from red, itchy rashes on my legs, arms, and face. I have seen a range of specialists who recommended various creams and oral medications that, though temporarily relieved the symptoms, never had long-term results. Having seen a plethora of doctors in the past, it’s comforting to know that good doctors actually do exist. This might sound like an overstatement, but my life has literally changed after my first visit with Dr. Mary Ann Martinez. She tailored a skin plan for me so that I no longer suffer from embarrassing itchy and scaly skin!

Upon initially visiting with Dr. Martinez, it is evident that she knows what she’s doing. With each visit, Dr. Martinez is thorough, comprehensive, and patient with understanding my needs. She realizes (as should all doctors!) that I don’t have a medical background and makes everything understandable and easy to follow. Though the wait times can be a little long at times, seeing Dr. Martinez is worth the wait. It is also a huge plus when the front staff is welcoming and just plain nice. A smile sure does go a long way.…

Best Dermatologist in Austin - No Ridiculous High Fees on Procedures. I have been seeing dermatologists for the last 30 years since I had teenage acne. I have had dermatologists in San Francisco and Austin. Dr. Martinez is the best one I've seen in Austin. She is very thorough, professional, and iconveys friendliness also. She is always able to provide knowedgeable answers to any questions I have regarding new research, procedures, and the products I use. I get terrific BOTOX treatments from her, along with prescriptions and info on OTC products to reduce signs of skin aging. Her staff is very friendly and helpful.…

Unfriendly staff. The day of my appointment I had car trouble and was unable to make it. I called about two hours prior to the appointment to explain the situation and they said that was fine and to call back to reschedule. Two days later I recieved a bill in the mail for $25 for a "missed appointment fee". Thinking that was a little ridiculous given the circumstances I called the office for an explanation. They didn't seem to care and just said that was their policy and there wasn't anything they could do. I'll pay their measly $25 "missed appointment fee" but I will not be back. I guess they really need the money.....…

She didn't hesitate to make the tough call and immediately referred them out to the best surgeon in town. If you have any concerns about skin cancer--run don't walk to Dr. Martinez.
