Blue walls provide contrast for large, white canvas boats hanging from the ceiling. Multi-pronged modern wall lamps provide unique lighting. Couples and groups in their 20s and 30s relax at booths and the bar. Nightly events feature DJs (from meal-distracting techno to soothing Sinatra), karaoke or open turntables. The baked mushroom appetizer is rich with crab and cheese. Beef negimaki is stuffed with seasoned beef and scallions. Dragon rolls combine California rolls and unagi.

Worst Sushi experience EVER!

I love sushi ... and I can usually find something positive about a sushi meal even if it wasn't great. My visit to Sake on Sixth proved that wrong!! I couldn't even finish either of the rolls I ordered b/c they were AWFUL ... and it's just not even cute when the waitress at a sushi restaurant says, "I don't know what that item is ... I get really confused with all this Japanese stuff". To top it all off ... the service was horrible as well. I am at a loss as to how this place is still open. I've seen nothing but bad reviews, and I've experienced the severe let down as well. This is a poor excuse for a sushi restaurant.

Not fun at all

I recently visited this location, as a lover of sushi, I wanted to try it out. The food was typical, nothing special and their prices are way too high for the quality and texture of their fish. Not to mention the place was completely vacant, I felt as if I was the only person in Austin. They have flavored saki, which is quite good, however dining and having the staff stare at you is not a good time.
