FABULOUS!!!!

The best salon in Austin hands down. They treat you like royalty without the high prices. It's actually reasonable! I took a picture to Heather that was pretty out there, and she duplicated it perfectly! I wouldn't go anywhere else. ever.

Enjoyed my experience

My first time at Wet started on my walk up from the parking lot stairs where 3 stylists were smoking and were extremely nice and courteous to make room for my 8 month pregnant body. Upon checking in I was immediately offered a seat and a beverage from my stylist who I had never met before. I had to wait for a minimal amount of time and the actual haircut was great. Ryan listened to what I wanted and did a great job. I will be returning.

Loved WET! ask for Leslie

no girl ever tries a new hairstylist or trusts a new salon... which is probably why you are reading this. I was once in your shoes... shopping around for the right place to cut my hair. I went to WET because they had good reviews on yelp[dot]com and when i called, a real person answered the phone. The receptionist was very polite and scheduled me for the next day with Leslie.

Leslie is wonderful!! During the first 5-10 minutes we went over what i wanted in front of the mirror while she examined the type of hair i had. I asked for se xy hair... and got se xy hair!! I have to admit, she said she liked the length, and kept the length... but it feels so much lighter! I have no clue how she did it

I also had color done, it was my first time to get my hair dyed and it came out beautiful. she was very helpful with color selection, and used a new technique that made my hair look extremely natural.. as if the sun naturally highlighted it. Please! get your hair cut here, you will not regret it... especially if you get leslie

Ryan is the best hairsylist ever!

For all of you ladies with curly hair, Ryan is your man. We all know how awful a haircut can be on curly hair if not done correctly. Ryan REALLY understands curly hair, he takes his time, is incredibly patient (I have the hair of 3 people), and does not cut any corners. I have had my haircut by several different people since moving to Austin, and Ryan is the only one that has really done exactly what I needed. If you want your hair done right then go to Ryan! He's incredibly pleasant, great at what he does, and has a great schedule. What more could you ask for?

not sure if i'll go back

i recently went to Wet Salon needing a hair cut. after reading some reviews i thought i would give it a try and called to make an appointment. they were very willing to book me that day with Ruby. I was nervous going in because i had read a few reviews of ruby that were not very good. but she is very nice. however, i don't think i'll be going back to see her again. when consulting i showed her a picture of what i wanted, but she didn't say anything. instead she said so what do you want me to do. so i showed her the picture again saying that this is what i wanted. when cutting my hair we had a great conversation and anything and everything. however, i started getting concerned when she started using the razor. other stylists in the past used razors on my hair and i was fine. but she seemed to get very happy with this razor and took a lot off, especially in the back. after she cut my hair she handed me off to someone else to wash my hair again ( i have no idea were she went and the new girl washing my hair had no idea either) when my second wash was done ruby came back and finished styling my hair, which in the end i wasn't a huge fan of she made my hair really big on top. i haven't washed my hair yet to see how i can style it, but we will see. as of now i don't think i'll be going back to Wet.

Don't bother!

I had a cut & full blonde highlights with Ruby. From the beginning she seemed unsure of herself and consulted with 2 other stylists. I asked for very blonde color with minimum brown, and for maximum length. She did the opposite on each count! She was resistant to repair it and was clearly not listening to my straightforward requests. I've never had such difficult communication with a stylist in 10 years of getting blonde highlights. She then changed the shade of my roots a strange orange/reddish color, which was even worse than the original brown. I was there for 4 hours and it still was nothing close to what I clearly asked for! She continued to consult another stylist, so frequently that I wondered why he didn't just do it himself. They asked me to return the next day to repair it. After reading bad reviews on citysearch (which I should have done before scheduling there) and seeing friends' reactions to my hair, I've decided not to return but to have it repaired elsewhere. This was a stressful waste of energy, and getting it repaired will be more expensive than if I'd gone to a nicer salon in the first place. Now I know why it was so easy to get an immediate appointment at Wet! I would give a rating of zero stars, but this site requires me to give at least one.

Great atmosphere and stylists

I recently went to Wet Salon for the first time and I absolutely love the layed back atmosphere. I made an appointment with Jennifer, not Jen, and she successfully transformed me from a bleached out and over processed blonde into a soft and shiny brunette. I thought prices were very reasonable and the customer service was awesome (I returned the next day to have the color warmed up a bit for no charge). I love the color and she understood the level of brunette I wanted without making me look gothic from being blonde and then all of a sudden brunette. There are also two master colorists who work there so you are sure to come out looking beautiful. I would definitely recommend stopping by and checking it out.

Best Atmosphere, clientele and Fabulous Stylists!

I moved from South Florida with bleach blonde hair, a natural brunette I was scared that I would not find someone up to par, I asked around and kept hearing about Wet....I called and Angelia answered and my search was over! I have had the best cuts, color and conversations with her as well as gained a friend. I would follow her anywhere she decided to go, but Wet is her home! It is a true family of stylists that exude hospitality and make certain every guest is greeted and comfortable if they should endure a brief wait. Angelia is a talented colorist and master stylist, she takes her time always and explains how to style and care for her creations. She has made me a beautiful blonde, pink and black haired vixen! I always recommend Wet salon as they have a stylist for everyone! Oh, and who doesn't appreciate a "Leslie" sighting while getting their hair did!

• Pros: In fabulous SoCo, Always parking and a Fun time!
• Cons: People that think it's too expensive

Poor customer service

I had an appointment with Jen for a simple cut, and she had someone else call me 30 minutes before my appointment to cancel - because "she had a color correction that was taking longer than expected." They then said the next available appointment was a week later, and there was no way they could work me in sooner. I had scheduled my entire Saturday around my appointment, which I had made two weeks earlier. I won't be giving my business to Wet salon again.
