Customer service all around!

With the holidays coming up, I'm going to do what I did last year. Call the deli and tell them what I would like and when. With notice they can work wonders and it saved me alot of time (and cleaning in my kitchen). I even showed up one day with my crock pot for them to make me my favorite soup. Turkeys, pies, appetizers, and of course FOOTBALL Trays.
won't shop there anymore

I recently heard that the people employed at this location steal money from the customers. They ask you for a receipt and if you say no they cancel your transaction and keep the money for themselves. Bad.
I want to support this local family owned business but not when those people are stealing and using money for illegal substances. Because, I do smoke a little and I found this out from my dealer about his customers hook up. He was actually on his way to get free groceries. They also supply their friends with whatever they want at no charge.
Don't shop here!
- Pros: local family store
- Cons: theives for employees
Good Local Grocery -- Don't trust the prices
by flodown
Fresh Plus is a 10-minute walk from my house. The sandwich counter is the best part of Fresh Plus. Great service, fresh ingredients, they'll add avocado to sandwiches at no additional charge.
They have good produce, but don't trust the prices. The last 3 times I've shopped at Fresh Plus, items did not ring up as priced on the shelves. (I've caught them a couple other times. I don't know how many times I've been over-charged in the past.) The folks working the registers are happy to make corrections and give refunds, but you have to be on your toes. Onions priced at $.99 per pound ring up as $1.29. Be especially wary of items on sale. The promotions on the shelves DO NOT translate to prices at the register. Today they tried to charge me $.50 extra on a can of diced tomatoes and $.20 extra on a can of stewed tomatoes.
It's local, and I like supporting Fresh Plus. Unfortunately, you have to shop with a notepad and watch the register carefully so that you don't get ripped off. I choose to think they are careless rather than deceitful, but either way, I have no confidence in the prices at Fresh Plus -- which are already a little steep.
- Pros: sandwich counter, friendly service
- Cons: inaccurate pricing, expensive prices
This neighborhood grocery strikes the right balance between basic goods and specialty items.

In Short
Clarksville and Enfield residents and West Austin workers rely on this small but well-stocked grocer for wine, food and household goods. The produce section provides all the basics, including some organic options, while the butcher counter surprises with its extensive selection of cold cuts and house-smoked meats. At the deli, weekday lunchers fill up on thick sandwiches or generous portions of standbys such as lasagna and potato salad, with big squares of made-fresh sheet cake for dessert.
