Dang good food. One of my favorites which for me is saying a lot since I do not like a lot of restaurants in Austin. Fresh and real. My fav: the cowboy taco!!!

Food rocks!

by akdCS

Small, mostly outdoor seating, but the food is muy bueno! Yes it has a good business lunch crowd, but what knucklehead would hold that against a restaurant.

Awesone Hot Sauce

by wheelsonfire

I went to the Austin Hot Sauce Fest on Sunday and this was the best sauce! The Jalapeno sauce is tasty and HOT! I only paid $4 for the sauce that was better than all of the others (most were more expensive).

I've never been to Tacodeli, but I can't wait With a sauce this good, I can't imagine how good the tacos are!

  • Pros: Hot Sauce!

Best Tasting, Variety of Tacos!

by coconino

Was at Tacodeli for lunch with my coworkers on one afternoon and the place was packed!! Check out the daily special. I tried the Ceviche and Mole Tacos, both are awesome! They are good cheapeats and definitely very healthy!

  • Pros: Cheapeat, variety to choose from, healthy

Great for boring people

by burnetdurnit

If you're looking for a restaurant with overpriced, bland, fake gringo Mexican food, this is the place. Go to Arandas on South 1st for the real thing. This place is filled with stuffed suits on their lunch breaks from the nearest office park.

  • Pros: Service
  • Cons: Food, Price, Atmosphere

If you are close, pop in

The food is great from a vegetarian point of view. I am quite fond of the Heather. There are a few other vegetarian options that are original from other items you might commonly see on an average mexican menu.

The menu is small, but the food is great. I wish the hours included those closer to dinner time since this really limits the ability to eat there.

thumbs up.

  • Pros: great taste
  • Cons: no dinner hours

Mistakes

These folks have always gotten my breakfast mixed all around with the wrong ingredients as well. It's not even all that good either.

  • Pros: parking, service, apologize when wrong
  • Cons: food mistakes, the wait, seating

Tacodeli just opened a new location at Gracy Farms & Burnet (east of Mopac), so I tried it for the first time a few weeks ago and loved it. The decor is nice but casual, and the employees are friendly. I ordered two veggie burritos on my first visit which were very filling; ordered an avocado salad on the 2nd visit and it was yummy as well. They have 3 different types of salsa, all very flavorful.

  • Pros: inexpensive
  • Cons: crowded
