Locally owned, this little hideaway is a gem for the perfect romantic dinner, lunch w/clients, or a friend. Food is fabulous. Their weekday take-out is abundant, fresh, delicious & consistent.
Intimate Hideaway!!

Love this place! You can't beat their salads and flavor of food here. A great place to go for an intimate or small affair and I didn't have to fight traffic and drive all over the freakin' city! What a find for that quick fix of gournet food with a price that won't break your wallet. Try it.
Wine lovers heaven
by 2harsh
It was wonderful. The soup, their special salad dressing and butter, the tender meat, and AMAZING hamburgers. But all in all the wine was my favorite. Ive been in there many times and each time i have found a new wine that makes me want to come back for more. The wait staff was very friendly. It gives off this homey vibe. Even my kids mac and cheese was off the wall and he is extremely picky.
- Pros: great food, staff, and decor.
Thumbs Way Up!

What a delightful discovery! My husband and I enjoy trying new restaurants, but we are rarely as pleased as we were with Bee Cave Bistro. This is the type of place where you can comfortably tell your server what you don't want, then allow the chef to prepare anything else he/she thinks you would enjoy - and you will! If you enjoy excellent food and friendly service in a comfortable atmosphere, I highly recommend Bee Cave Bistro.
- Pros: Innovative, delicious dinner menu

Unassuming West Austin eatery provides an evolving variety of New American fare in a warm, comfortable and friendly environment.
Great food for an affordable lunch!

I was killing time on my lunch brake so I decided to venture into unknown territory and try something new. I decided to stop at Bee Cave Bistro and boy am I glad I did! The intimate settings are quite cozy and the service is great! I had the Sante Fe Croissant with turkey, swiss, and guacamole which was fantastic! The best part of my meal had to be by far the soup! I am not a soup person but surprisingly I could not restrain myself from finishing every drop of it. It was a creamy homemade chicken noodle soup with rigatoni pasta in it. I have not enjoyed a lunch so good in a very long time and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.
- Pros: Excellent service, great food, and a warm intimate ambiance
- Cons: so far away from the city
Best Fries EVER!!
by the_verdict
Yet another restaurant I never would have discovered had it not been for the Entertainment book. They have possibly the Best French Fries in America. Seriously, amazing fries I tell you. I ordered the Sweet Jalapeno Burger (1/2lb burger with sweet jalapenos, guacamole, tomato and onion) which was decent and extrememly filling. The fries you can have with or without seasoning. i opted for with and it was worth it. It's almost blasphemous to dip in ketchup. Seriously they are that good! Anyway, back to the burger, if you are stuffed up, this burger is sure to clear your sinuses. My nose wouldn't stop running and the burger wasn't even spicy, it was more sweet. Anyway, the overall rating is great place for lunch, they're fast and the food is worth the drive for the fries alone.
Food is average, extremely overpriced, great family take-out meals
by emlarae
We just moved to the Bee Cave area and thought it would be nice to try this restaurant. We have had lunch and dinner there. It has great ambiance, great service/friendly staff, but the food is only okay. It is priced very high for the quality of fish and meat. The soups are the best thing there in my opinion.
That said, they have a very reasonable family take out meal that serves 4 and is a great alternative to fast food. It is very good for the price and my kids love it.
I would recommend it for lunch or the family take-out, but look elsewhere for dinner.
- Pros: Family Take-Out Menu, Great ambiance, location is close to me
- Cons: Price! Quality/taste doesn't compare with other places in same price range.
A West Austin favorite

Good menu, friendly staff, nice wine selection. Not my favorite for brunch, but dine there fairly frequently for dinner.
- Pros: Friendly staff, nice W. Austin alternative
- Cons: Some dishes over-priced
