excellent care in the getto
by sonianunez
I'm a new mother and I was needing to go to the Dr. My friend told me about this clinic carousel pediatrics and went. I went during the after hours so I was glad that the gentelman told me that they would gladly see my baby. I had to admit I was shocked because I was a new patient! He was very nice he even aske me what was going on with my child? I told him that I thought that he was having problems breathing and that he was really congested and he got a nurse right away!!! She was so nice and took me right into the room and starting checking his breathing and temputer very quickly. She was really concerned for my baby and she took really good care of her I could tell that she was a mother and took care of my baby well she got the Dr. and he was even better He took a good listen to my baby and a good exam I have to say I was very pleased that I got excellent care in the getto. I love this office and recomend it to everyone
- Pros: Great staff excellent care
- Cons: located in the getto
Very slow, avoid if possible

We are fostering a 2 year old and chose Carousel because we wanted to get into somewhere quickly that takes Medicare. The doctor is very good and friendly. However, the condition of the location was terrible and what should have been a 20 minute appointment took almost 2 hours. The waiting area and exam rooms are dirty and rundown. There are also no toys or books. But, all of this would not have bothered me except for how long they made me wait. We saw the nurse and doctor relatively quickly, but the nurse didn't come back to give the shots and do some tests for over an hour. Remember, this is an hour in a room with one book, no toys, and a two year old. I stuck my head out several times and told them I go. At one point someone came in to sanitize the room and was surprised we were still there (we had been completely forgotten).
I was annoyed, but given we were using Medicare I figured I should have expected this leve of care and wasn't going to write a review. However, after we left, two other things happened that made me decide to write the review:
First, we were supposed to go back on Sunday to get the results to one of the tests. They told me that they have limited Sunday hours, but no where on any of their handouts, the appointment card, their phone recording, or on the internet are their hours!!! We are just going to have to keep calling them until we get someone to answer their phone.
Second, when searching for their hours online, I found many other sites with reviews similar to what I have written here. Since there is no review on this site, I figured I should write one.
If you really need a pediatrician, especially one who takes Medicare, then they are ok. But
- Pros: Good doctor
- Cons: Slow, dirty
