"Hat bar"... CHRISTMAS EVE HONESTY

I am sorry that the the other girl had a bad time Christmas Eve, but I was there and I believe the the story was streched to the point of dishonesty. There was a guy that kept harrassing a girl at the bar. Justin asked her if she was cool, she said she was for awhile. When it got to be too much Justin told him to get out. He should not have said it was for the "dog excuse", but maybe he didn't want that guy to know she had complained. The guy kept questioning why he had to leave, I believe Justin may have generically called him a f@g, the same as if he called him an @sshole, but he knew that guy was not gay, he kept bothering that girl. He was a little rough when he pulled him out, nothing considered violent. The police came, talked to Justin and left. He was never arrested. Justin has created an environment of the BMX, punkrock version of Cheers. A great place to get the party started off. I recommend taking a shot ski with your friends. an actual ski with 3 or 4 shots glesses in it. You all gotta go at once and you get one free!! :-)

Dizzy Rooster rocked my socks off!

Dizzy Rooster is the coolest place on 6th! the bar staff was so great and friendly and the jello shots were REALLY good! the band had the audience rockin and when I come back to tow this place is a place i will visit again!

HATE BAR - Not GAY FRIENDLY - Stay away

A few days ago on Christmas eve, I was at the dizzy rooster bar with some friends. At one point, one of the bartenders, named Justin decided to kick my friends out of the bar, for no reason. The bartender tried to say that dogs arent allowed when all night long people had been at the bar with dogs, and my friend had been at the bar for an hour already with the dog.

When my friend asked why, and protested that he had been tipping the bartenders well all night, the bartender came around the bar shouting out homophobic insults towards my friend. He grabbed my friend by the collar and then whipped him down onto the sidewalk outside the bar and badly hurt my friend's knee. My friend never fought back, and was never even physical or even angry towards the bartenders, he was just calmly asking what justified him being thrown out. The irony is that my friend isn't even gay, he was just hanging out with his best friend. About 5 minutes later the police had this bartender Justin in handcuffs, because some people went to the police with what they saw. This bartender had also knocked down a couple innocent people inside the bar, and one girl's hand was bleeding because the bartender asccidently broke a pint glass on her while he was raging. I wasn't thrown out probably because the bartender thought I was a straight girl. While this bar may be friendly towards straight girls, I would never recommend this bar to anyone, gay or straight. This was the worst experience I've ever had in a bar ever, anywhere, and on Christmas Eve on top of it. Stay away if you consider yourself open to all people and races.

Great Bartenders!

Me and my friends always go to the Dizzy Rooster to have a great time. The bartenders are nice and are quick to get your drinks. Especially if you're a female, they will hook you up with free jello shots. (sometimes) :) The music is varied from old school to the latest rap and hip hop. The DJ is so funny and dresses up in a fro wig and 70s theme. Great place to chill and have a couple of drinks with your buddies.

Great DJ!

The Dj is named DJ Veg and every once in a while he will get on the bartop in nothing but tight cheeta boxers and sing! It's so funny! They have girls dance on the bar, play a veriety of old school and new songs and have a really great staff. One of the best bars on the street besides the Chuggin Monkey and Thirsty Nickel!

danced non stop

great variety of music to keep u suprised... one minute rap next something old school! my friend (since like 8th grade) danced for like 45 mins straight. the DJ was awesome and purely hilarious! his "night finale" was awesome... nothing like seeing a guy dressed in pink boxers, pink shirt and big round glasses singing and dancing on the bar as he tells u fairwell... i also like the way they include at the end that if u are too drunk to drive be sure to let them know so they can get u home safely. great touch of showing sincerity. yeah leo that was on the real world is the manager or something now but he doesn't seem to look like he let it go to his head. just all out great night!!!

You couldn't ask for a better time

The Dizzy Rooster is the place to be, and this is coming from someone who didn't like the realworld. Despite the negative energy thrown at this bar from jealous competitors and people who obiously know nothing the Rooster is great. The staff is the friendliest staff in town and their DJ is insane. This Rooster made a name for itself a long time ago and it gets better everytime I go!
