Kristy is awesome

As a guy, I don't need a lot of pampering. I just want to get my hair styled well at a reasonable price with as little hassle as possible.

The problems I've had at other salons generally boil down to one of three issues:

1.) The stylists aren't good. I've gotten some bad cuts at various places around town.

2.) The stylists push products. I know modern salons are more "retail" than they used to be, but I hate feeling like I've walked into a used car lot when I get my hair cut once a month.

3.) The stylists either aren't friendly or are non-stop talking machines. There's a happy middle-ground that I think most guys want: be engaging and interesting, but don't talk just to fill dead space.

I have none of these problems at Kisma thanks to Kristy. Kristy has been cutting me for several months, and I've enjoyed every trip to the salon. She's outgoing and very friendly - it's very easy to carry a conversation with her - but not overly talkative. She's never made me feel pressured to buy any of the products she uses. And, most importantly, she's done a great job of helping me find a better style. I initially came to Kisma because it's close to work, but I've come back again and again because of Kristy.

To other guys out there: you will not be disappointed with Kristy. I highly recommend her!

Michelle is the best!

I have been going to Michelle now for about 2 1/2 yrs and I trust her with my hair. She does an excellent job with color. She has a pleasant personality and the time goes by fast with great conversations and laughter!

• Cons: She gets booked fast... she is that good!

yay - healthy hair!

Kristy is a fabulous stylist! I first saw her for a trim & highlight in August, and my hair was extremely damaged. It had been through several rounds (& colors) of dye, but she managed to take off the damaged ends & get some lowlights of blonde back in rotation. I saw her again yesterday, and she was able to lighten it another level, and again take some damaged ends off. In just two visits to Kristy, my hair is healthier than it's been in over a year, and I'm back to being a blonde again! Thanks, Kristy!!!

Great People, Great Service, Great 'Dos, Great Prices

The first time I walked in I was not sure what to do with my hair. I talked to my hair stylist and soon after was greeted by the owner, Annette, and given a somewhat lengthy consultation. Very professional and personable from the start.

Laura Ann does a terrific job...very detail-oriented, very much in tune with her customers needs/concerns and always attentive. When I suggest any kind of change I always feel I'm in capable hands. She not only does a great job with my hair but gives great scalp massages and pedicures.

I'm a real stickler when it comes to good customer service and this salon personifies it...from the people I'm greeted by when I walk in the door, my stylist, the other stylists and back to the owner. They have it down to a tee. I'm always offered a drink, get a complimentary service every visit and a footstool under my feet if I desire. Why go anywhere else?

• Pros: Best Customer Service in Town
• Cons: Really? Oh...there are none...first rate!

From Worst Hair To Best: Thx To Kisma

I have rotten hair. If I tinted it blue I could be Marge Simpson. In my whole life, no one ever complimented me on my hair...until I went to Kisma. My office went nuts. They said I looked ten years younger. A perfect stranger complemented my hair at the dry cleaners. I almost cried.

Laura Ann did a fantastic job. But to tell you the truth, every stylist was turning out great 'dos when I was there. It took me almost a decade to find the perfect salon in Austin. But it was worth the wait.

Kisma is the best salon in town for men. Cecilia is really great. Always friendly and a really great attention to detail - plus she give's the best head massage to sooth away those daily stresses

I am a crazy busy person just like everyone else in the world. So i love that I can see whatever great stylist is open and have full confidence in their abilities. I am always offered a drink when I come in the door and I get a Scalp or hand massage every visit! Trust them with your hair, you wont regret it.

Thank god for Kisma! There is nothing like going in for a relaxing massage after a hectic week! The staff is always kind and curtious when I walk in, and I love that i can call in and get an appointment that same week or even day! Thanks!

Michelle ROCKS!!!

Michelle, my hair stylist is incredible! Before meeting her several years ago, my hair was the victim of color abuse. Michelle transformed my hair into healthy and natural looking. Not to mention, I have difficult, curly hair and yet, time and time, Michelle knows how to manage it well and make it look awesome. Can't imagine going to anyone else!
