Choosing a pediatrician? Consider Dr. Bell.

If you are pregnant, new to town or looking for a new doctor to care for your child, I would like to recommend Dr. Anna Bell. Dr. Bell is with the Pediatric Center of Round Rock at Austin, located off 38th instead of in Round Rock. I just changed my child to her and have been happy with every visit. While my child is generally healthy, Dr. Bell took time with me during our visits to talk about my many first-time Mommy questions, to go over our family histories and to get to know us. For our sick visit, she was thorough but didn't waste our time while my child wasn't feeling well. The staff was friendly, the office clean and the doctor personable. It is obvious that she loves her job and knows her stuff. I've never written a review for a doctor before but felt so strongly that Dr. Bell will care for my children as though they were her own that I had to let other moms know about her.

Avoid the Round Rock location

The doctors are good but the office staff is the worst I have ever experienced. There is nothing worse than being concerned and stressed over a very sick child and have the staff from the office be completely rude when you call to ask for some help. I have been with the practice for a year now and have put up with the poor treatment but I think I have put up with way more than I should. I have liked the doctors in the practice but I have decided to move on because I know it is possible to have great doctors that also have a great staff.

Not the best

This office is not very organized and the staff seems lazy. This is a place where you are supposed to feel comfortable, especially for the children. The atmosphere is cold and unfriendly. Dr. Katalenas is a very friendly doctor but the front desk staff seems like they hate their lives and their jobs.

Avoid this Office-Pediatric Center of Round Rock

This office is disorganized and unfriendly. I had to bring my newborn into their office 3 times for them to stick his foot for his newborn screening test. They could not fill the paperwork out correctly and had to keep redoing the test. At his 6 month visit I was there for over 2 hours with him undressed waiting for Dr. Spencer to see him. They could have at least told me that she would be late and to redress him or provide me with a blanket. They just kept coming in saying she'll be right here, just a few more minutes. If you do have to use this office, choose Dr. Katelanas(sp?). She was very nice and helpful the 2 times I had to deal with her.
