Average at Best

Listen I'm not from New York, but this is not New York pizza. It's an average pie at best - keep your pants on Austin. Once again, another pizza joint with canned mushrooms.

  • Pros: Fast Service
  • Cons: Canned Mushrooms

Poor Service - Poor English

by Texmexman at Citysearch

I had ordered from them twice before today with no issues. Today, they tell me they do not deliver here.

Our home is 3.5 miles from their location! And he tells me they do not deliver past New Hope? New Hope is about 1 mile from them!!!

Mr. Yaghi. Shame on you! All you need to do is turn right on 1431, drive .5 miles and turn left onto Ronald Reagan Blvd. Drive 2.8 miles from there and deliver.

What is so hard about this???

I'll be sure to spread the word around here to the neighbors... to stop in at Papa John's on 183 in Cedar Park or at Pizza Hut across from HEB at 1431 and 183.

Very disappointing experience!

On a positive note, Austin's Pizza (around the corner from them) delivers here. It's on the way!!!

  • Pros: Decent Pizza
  • Cons: Very Limited Delivery Area!

Awesome Pizza!

by EarthHelper at Citysearch

Great, authentic NY pizza that's not too heavy and has a good amount of toppings. I've been there many times and I've had nothing but excellent service and good food!

  • Pros: Thin crust, tasty sauce
  • Cons: Well, pizza isn't the healthiest food around...

Greasy pizza, heart attack city!!!

by Frankiebaby at Citysearch

Pizza had grease all over the bottom and top. It looked like it was actually cooked in grease. My wife hates the place, but I thought I would give it a shot. Found out that these people also own another pizza chop shop called AJs. It is equally as bad. I'm from Brooklyn and I know what is good pizza.

  • Pros: Had atmosphere pf New York pizzaria...
  • Cons: ...was not a New York pizzaria. Food is bad.

Varying level of service

by johnpistone at Citysearch

My partner has allergy issues and therefore we request that certain ingredients be withheld from our orders. It has happened a few times now that even after confirming multiple times on the phone, our pizza has come out with our wants neglected. This means that I have to dig out these ingredients by hand, destroying the pizza.

We like the pizza very much, but with such inconsistencies in service, it is based on luck whether we will have a pain free dinner or not.

Good pizza

by psalmchild at Citysearch

The pizza definitely has the thinner, chewier New York style crust which is really good. I found that the pizza was kind of bland though. My husband and I shared a large...which was more than enough for the both of us and we're good eaters. My half was the margherita and he had the Philly cheesesteak. The margherita side was better (less is more), but it needed the sauce. These specialty pizzas were "white pizzas" and I'm not sure why. We ended up heating up some spaghetti sauce at home and spooning it over our slices which actually gave the pizza more flavor. Next time we'll ask for red sauce on the side. Overall, it was quite good. I recommend it for a change from the usual chain store take out pizzeria.

  • Pros: Good pizza; has the New York taste
  • Cons: A little bland; could use more flavor

In the top three

by bethc817 at Citysearch

I lived in New York and agree it doesn't taste like the famous pizza places in the City. However it's close to some of the small upper west side places and even better than some. It's "New York Style" with chewier dough and less brick oven grizzle. The sauce and crust are thin and the edges are crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. I'd put it in my top three pizza joints in Austin - Austin's Pizza, Brick Oven, and Yaghi's. Like Austin's Pizza, I'd highly recommend pick-up since you just never know how long delivery will really take. I'm just glad Austin is finally getting real pizza options, the choices used to be so slim!

  • Pros: Yummy sweet dough, Good food too!
  • Cons: Best to pick-up instead of delivery

would have loved to try it...but...

by webshark28 at Citysearch

...I called for delivery (1st time trying this place) at 730pm. At 745pm someone called and confirmed my address. At 9pm - still no pizza. I called and they said they were too busy and could not deliver my pizza and someone should have called me to tell me about it. They were sorry about that and making us wait almost 2 hours for a delivery that would never arrive. Even though we are less than 5 miles away they said it was too far to come tonight.

Bummer - now no dinner for people and we waited nearly 2 hours to find out. Whatever you do, don't order delivery from these folks. What a let-down.
