I have been using the Board at Home pet sitting service for the past 2 years. It started one year at Christmas when my dog had just been diagnosed with Cushings Syndrome. I was very upset at the thought of losing her and didn't want to leave her with friends and couldn't afford to board him at the vet. I heard an ad for Board at Home on the radio and requested a consult. Katie, one of my caregivers, was so wonderful at the consult that instantly I felt at ease. The other caregivers were also extremely nice and even cleaned up the mess my dog made due to the new meds she was on. They were even able to accomodate my 4 sessions a day that sometimes started very early and ended late at night. I have used their service every time I leave town since, and have always had a worry free trip. I can't thank them enough for loving my pets as much as I do.

  • Pros: They really love what they do and are worth every penny
  • Cons: Wish they had an overnight stay service, but 4 sessions did the trick

You cared for my poor little kitten even though he was sick and scared while we were gone. You should see him now, about 3 times bigger than when you cared for him and he can't wait to see you again when we leave town next week for vacation. Please tell Christina thank you for all the help and reassurance on the phone and email. Your pet sitters are by far the most caring I've encountered since I moved to Austin from NYC. THANKS!!!

I never know who they're going to send to my house. One week they sent 3 different people! My dogs (and dogs in general) really need consistency and don't like strangers entering the house. I was under the impression that the person they sent on the initial consult to meet me and my dogs would be the one who kept coming, but no. Unfortunately, I am now looking for another service.

  • Pros: Provide Pet Care
  • Cons: High Employee Turn-over Rate

As a professional Animal Care Company, we take our care very seriously and thank you for your comments. We do not hide the fact that we employ many trained Animal Care Specialists, all of whom are highly qualified to care for your pets. At 'BAH' your pet is our highest priority, and we will always have someone available to care for your pet, and they will provide the same standard of care that we guarantee all of our clients. This is not an indication of high turn over, simply our effective ability to ensure all scheduled pets are always looked after, no matter what. This one of the greatest benefits of using us, someone is always available, 365 days a year. We looked in our records to try to contact you and could not find a client with the name shown, but we would be happy to discuss the situation with you and offer you a free session to try our service again. We would also be happy to recommend a single person pet sitting operation in your area that might better suit your needs.

I've been using these guys for a few years now. They are great. Very Professional, Dedicated and caring. I know I can always count on them for last minute care. I've had problems with other sitters... NOT! I'm going to be sure that I always live where Board at home can care for my cat. He loves them and so do I!

  • Pros: Professional, Dedicated, Always Available
  • Cons: There not all over the U.S. just yet!

Before I knew about Board at Home I would always have a neighbor or friend take care of my pets. After an incident where a friend forgot to come by a few times I started looking for alternatives. A friend of our family recomended Board at Home so I checked into it and tried it over Labor Day. They were friendly, professional and my pets looked as happy as when I'd left them a few days before. I plan to use them again in the future over the holidays and when I go on my misson trip to Mexico this fall.

  • Pros: By far the most professional service of this kind that I've used
  • Cons: Almost booked too late for them to set up a consult, be sure to schedule in advance

My poor dog just hates going to the kennel. I decided to try Board At Home and see if this would work out or not. Well, I'm so happy it did. My sweet lil guy gets to stay home, I know he's happier and so am I. I'm also impressed with the way they are able to schedule us for my last minute business trips. Professional, friendly and genuine, all describe Tiffany and her crew. Thanks again! I'll see you next week!

The initial consult was very professional and she took the time to get to know my cat. Even though the kitty was shy, she took the time to get to know her and what she likes. Afterwards I received a full report of everything that happened while I was away. Very professional and thorough and I would highly recommend to other business travellers like myself who are away on a regular basis or just need an occassional check in on days I'm working late. My kitty was happy and so was I for not having to take her to the kennel.

  • Pros: Very good with the animals and detail oriented with reports
  • Cons: I personally didn't experience any, and I've used the service often
