will never forget it...

The air was crisp and mood was right. It was electric, yeah that's the word. There was static in the air. The rush of passing cars behind us was exsillerating. We drank to the day and then there was that urge so I excused myself. What happened next I will never forget. While relieving myself I see someone pacing on the other side of the stall. After I was done I open the stall door to find no one standing there. Whilst I was I drying my hands, the stall door from which I came out of, slams open. I am the only one in there. I run out and straight to my table,,, It's a great drink. Please have you experienced a ghost here to?

You want a cold tasty beverage at an affordable price? Then you need to go to Baby A's. Next caller!

Seriously though, I cant believe the bad marks that some of you are giving them. I've been going here for the past few years and they've done nothing but improve. Their food, their prices, and their service has improved big time since the first time I went. Mine and my wife's favorite mexican restaurant and location in Austin. Best patio too!

The worst food, waitstaff, and management

I have been going to Baby Acapulcos for many years when I finally decided to not tolerate bad food, service, and unconcerned management for convenience. I have now decided to drive up IH 35 to CHUY'S. I finally spoke with management and explained the service that I was repeatedly getting. She acted as though it was my personal problem. I then decided to start an email campaign and provide detailed accounts of each visit. After close to 6 months, I said," ... to heck with these people." I did not want to GIVE them another penny of my hard earned money. Now that the good clientele is gone, I won't go back for the unsavory characters that now frequent the establishment. Actually, the margaritas are not even that good. They are quick for a fast drunk that's all and not even a cheap drunk. It will take a lot more than, as they post on their outdoor marquee, low prices and large portions. Why on earth would I want a LARGE portion of HORRIBLE food!!!! The mentally of this place is in their own words.

• Pros: Karaoke on Tues and Thurs at the Stonelake Location (the family can go) - NOTHING ELSE
• Cons: horrible food, bad margaritas, bad service, bad management, and no one cares

Dishonest and Rude!

OMG! This is the most dishonst wait staff and management you have ever seen. I went with a group of coworkers and was getting ready to leave. Each had paid there own bill and added $10 each for a tip. They charge 17% gratuity already! I had ordered 3 margaritas at happy hour prices and a 1/2 price nacho. The waiter had put 2 samplers on our bill and god knows what else. Sylvia the manager pretty much said it was our word against the waiters. 3 margaritas @ $3.75 each and one 1/2 price apetizer at $4.75 my bill came to $51.00! Very dishonest. I can only imagine the waiter was putting his friends food and drinks on hour bill. We used to go there all the time but have decided to go somewhere where they practice ethics. BE VERY AWARE! LOOK VERY CLOSELY AT BILL AND KEEP A WRITTEN TAB OF WHAT YOU ORDER!!

Food is better at Taco Bell!

Go for drinks

Food is not bad but the drinks are why I go back and take friends who are visiting with me. As previously mentioned, you cannot go wrong with the Purples - well until the next day, but that depends if your hangovers get as ghastly as mine. It is a fun atmosphere as well.

The worst tex-mex in Austin

I tried this place out because heard that they had good tex-mex food. I'am new in Austin looking for good tex-mex food and this was not a place that I would revisit. After we ordered our food it was on our table within 5 minutes so tells you how authentic that is. The food tasted like they had gotten it from a a grocery store in the frozen food aisle. I'am from Houston and have had tex-mex often. I'am hoping to find something that compares to Houston's tex-mex and have yet to find it.

Overpriced !@#$!

The waiter lied to us about how much the drinks were and how small the portions were. The only thing worth going there for is the jukebox and purple margie!

Purple Margaritas!

Baby A's seems to be a somewhat popular spot in Austin despite the food tasting so-so. The atmosphere is fun and it's a great place to hang out with friends, family, and kids, but I still can't get over how the food just had nothing really special in it. I do recommend coming here for your birthday where you can get a FREE Purple Margarita! The Purple Margarita is a huge margarita that uses everclear so watch out! Other than that, you can definitely find better food elsewhere.

Great lunch spot

I've been often for lunch as I work in the area. On a cold day, their tortilla soup with puffy Chicken taco can't be beat. Very reasonable. Place seems dead though, as it is so large. I hear they're packed for dinner though.

PURPLE MARGARITA!!!!!

Purple margarita is what best describes this place. It's awsome, I had never had a purple magarita before this was amazing. They limit you to only purchasing two of them, and now I see why. They are very strong, you really only need one, but I decided to push the envelope and try two and lets just say I had to go and take a nap in the middle of the afternoon, hahaaaa! Oh yeah, and the food, we just had appetizers wich I thought were pretty good, can't really comment on anything else. All in all, great place to sit outside and have a few drinks with friends. Will defenitly return.
