Let me just say that I have been modeling in hair shows for 5+ years and I have always had good hair...I was expecting the same level of skill after reading the reviews online and was sorely disappointed. The girl that did my hair had a bad mess of her own, which should have been my first clue to run. But then I asked her to double foil my hair so I would have some dimension and ended up with all over BAD red. When I asked her to fix it, she told me she could do it next time, even though I hated it. Big mistake, not only will I not be going back but the hair color company has been warned as well. Had to go to Hairy Situations to fix it and was glad I did...they are competent and nice which anyone deserves.

Pros: Cute Salon, good product lines

Cons: Terrible service, stuck up attitude and no talent

It usually takes me a while to find "my" hairstylist when I move to a new place...and it is very stressful! But once I met Liza at Urban Betty Salon, I knew my worries were over! Great haircut in a great atmosphere! Liza is awesome!!

Liza at Urban Betty is the best! I love going in there to get my hair done. She always helps me pick a style and color that I will love. I get the best compliments after I get my hair done there.

Liza was recommended to me by some of my friends. Right away I knew I liked her because she wasn't working with several clients all at the same time. She did an excellent job on my highlights and she gave me a great haircut! I loved the salon's atmosphere too! I will continue to get my hair cut and colored by Liza. This salon is definitely a 5 star rating!

I am VERY particular about who colors my hair. I am a natural dirty blonde, but I like to get highlights. Since I go to UT, I used to drive all the way back home to Houston to get my hair done every couple months. As you can imagine, it got to be quite a hassel. My schedule here made it difficult to go home during the week. I tried a couple of salons here in Austin and had some terrible experiences -- once my hair got completely fried, another time the hair dresser accidently scheduled me for a time when she had 3 other customers so she was doing us all at once! I asked a girl in my sorority who had a cute blonde bob who does her hair and she said Liza at Urban Betty. I risked trying yet another salon, and I am so glad I did!!! Liza did a perfect job... even better than my person I'd drive to in Houston! All of her focus was on me and my hair. She didn't leave me for another customer, and she paid extra attention to my highlights. If you are a blonde or very particular about getting your hair colored, I would HIGHLY recommend Liza at Urban Betty!!

Pros: made me feel comfortable, very professional, best coloring i've ever had! and affordable!

I couldnt be more happy with my experience with Liza at Urban Betty. Such a sweet, easygoing girl and makes you feel super comfortable. I went in on a Monday which was great since its by appointment only and most of the other stylists are off...Shes great at what she does..I went in not knowing what was gonna be done to my hair and she gave me a cut and colour I love...The best haircut I have ever gotten....She will be my "Go-to girl " for my hair from now on! And as far as booking, she was able to get me in within a week which was way faster then some places I have been to. Great place ...These girls know what they are doing!

I go to Amanda for my haircuts. She is very affordable and creative. I trust her to do anything to my hair, I usually just tell her to have at it and I always love the result. Everybody there is very friendly and best of all they provide free booze while you get your cut. Okay, maybe just a free beer or glass of wine, but still....

Pros: Parking is not bad, great atmosphere, service, free bangs trims

Cons: you have to call waaaay in advance, they book quick

I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be after reading the reviews on City Search. Got my hair colored a little darker than I wanted it and the cut was okay. I had to go back and get it fixed because my ends looked uneven. A friend of mine got her hair done this weekend at Urban Betty and she wasn't impressed either. Her layers were really bad...too choppy. For the most part, the stylists were friendly except for the owner. She never smiled and didn't seem friendly. Environment was nice. Don’t think I'll go back.

I went to Liza at Urban Betty after looking at some of the reviews on Citysearch, I am so glad I did. I have been going to Liza for color and cut consistently for months now and I love my hair. She not only cuts great but also takes the time to show you how to style your hair properly. I have learned so much from her about how to properly blow-dry my hair and maintain the color then any other stylist. You will not be disappointed in her service, techique or professionalism. I highly recommend her and the salon.

Liza and the Urban Betty is the only place I will go. If I can't make it to the Urban Betty for a while, I just let my hair grow, because it isn't worth going anywhere else. When I go to Liza I leave the salon knowing that I look my best. Thanks Liza. Wes B
