Citysearch fudging the numbers

Yes, this club is terrible. Just trying to make Austin into something it's not; it's disgusting. This isn't LA or Dallas so don't pretend it is. This place is filled with $30,000 millionaires, what a joke. Gold Diggers in training is the best way to describe the 'hotties.'

Also, Citysearch is falsifying the rating on this place. It shows 3.5 stars, with 27 reviews. Thats nine 5-star, two 4-star, two 3-star, one 2-star and thirteen 1-star ratings (at time of publishing this comment). This translates to an average of 2.75! This is disturbing, Vicci can't do math and neither can Citysearch?

Who charges for tap water???

I was questioned on my ID Thursday night & almost didn?t let me in- I?m 25. I was overcharged for drinks & the bartender was terribly rude. There was a girl who was DD for the night & they charged her for her sodas. They also attempted to charge me and my friend for water? Seriously who does that?!?! I?ll never go back!

Good show last night.

I'd been to Vicci a few times and really liked the club itself, but the DJ was always horrible, so my friends and I would leave and go somewhere else to dance. Last night we went there for a hip hop show featuring RZA from Wu Tang which I thought was odd for a place like Vicci, but when we got there it was packed. Finally!!! a good DJ at this place. The opening DJs were Fundamental and Hannibal, who we've seen playing around town. They had the whole place singing along and cheering for the tracks they played(not to mention me and all my girls think they are super cute!). RZA's set was plagued by technical difficulties, but we still had a great time. Vicci would do well to hire one of those local DJs to play there every week if they want to get people to dance and stay there all night.

• Cons: Usually bad DJs

Disguisting staff. Avoid at all costs

Look out for bartenders. A bartender working there, Andy, specifically targets married women. He slept with my friend's wife while he was out of town and impregnated her. Numerous calls were amde to the manager, Mike, but every one refused to take responsibility. A statement was made to the police about the incident and Andy still works there.

this club is nothing but a front for a bunch of "men" to rope people down to their level. Sick.

Best Dance Club

I don't why the people here in Austin are so negative. I have always had a great time at Vicci. The dance is huge. The music is great. The staff is friendly. I find Vicci to be the perfect compromise between the ultra VIP club like Qua and the grimy clubs of 6th street. My friends that are normally turned off by clubs like Qua feel very comfortable at Vicci. On the other hand, my friend from New York who is used to bottle service clubs was thrill with the VIP area. I'm not sure how someone could not enjoy this club.

Okay dancing, bad drinks, over priced, slow service

Vicci is a wanna be Vegas club that fails horribly. If you are looking for a trashy crowd that wants to pretend to have money you should really go to Vicci. I felt like I was in a club on the Jersey shore.

• Pros: Big dance floor, lots of people to laugh at
• Cons: Bad service, trashy people a lot like Pure. Tries to be cool but just isn't.

WORST CLUB IN AUSTIN

Vicci is a horrible attempt at an upper class club. Anybody that thinks this is a good club, doesn't know much about quality. I do VIP everywhere I go and I have unfortunately had the experience of doing it at Vicci a couple times. The "cool" guys at the door were disrespectful and spent more time trying to convince me to turn around and leave then doing their simple job of looking at the list and my ID. Next, bottle service was horrible! Hostess was nowhere to be found all night long and there were only about 3 people total doing bottle service, so I know she definitely could have served me much better, considering the fact that I bought 3 bottles. At one point, some idiot tried to steal one of my bottles and there was nobody there to even stop it from happening. On top of all of this ridiculously horrible service, the DJ IS HORRIBLE! Music good? Yea maybe the first time, but it was pretty bad to hear the same songs over and over again all night long! The DJ has like a CD on repeat and plays songs over and over again. In addition to this, when you exit, you exit into an ALLEY, yes, ALLEY, trash cans and all! Don't believe anybody that thinks this is a good club cause they obviously don't have very high standards. This is the worst club I've ever been to and even though I was offered a free bottle, I will still never go back. This club is really just an attempt at an upper class club. Nice try though, it almost had me fooled for a moment.

finally what austin needs

I've read some of the other reviews and understand what they're talking about. But they have to realize that even though this is Austin, You can't just go anywhere in flip-flops. Ya their drinks are a little pricey, but it's worth it. Great dancing, lots of bars, a huge smoking area. If you want cheap drinks, go back to sixth street, get your 25 cent drinks and deal with the frat boys and thugs. But if you want a up scale, fun place try Vicci!

• Pros: Huge dance floor, good music, fun people
• Cons: parking

great dancing

Vicci has a great dance floor with plenty of room to really move. My friends and I love to go dancing on the weekends we always go to Vicci since the vibe is always right. They have GO GO dancers that keep it goin. The drinks are just right and I can always get to the bar without a wait, If you would rather lounge and hang out with friends they have a VIP floor up stairs and Lounge under-ground too. I really recommend Vicci to anyone wanting to have the total club atmosphere in AUSTIN.
