Amazing hair stylists

I had a great experience at New Essense Spa and Salon (which is now know as AZIZ Day Spa under new ownership). I'm new in town, and I was nervous about finding a stylist I could trust to do my hair in the way I like it. Dave Tienda is a fabulous colorist and stylist, and I highly reccomend his services. I have lived in Manhattan and Los Angeles, and I feel that he is more talented and reasonably priced than any other stylist I have worked with. I hope you will give them a try as it is well worth it. I left the salon feeling like a million bucks - just as every woman should feel when she walks out of a salon. Thank you, Dave!!!

Oksana and New Essence: a fabulous European experience!

A hidden find in this strip mall location (on Brodie Lane near Bed, Bath, and Beyond), New Essence offers a European experience of expert care and pampering. Having found the New Essence website on citysearch in a desperate search for a same-day cut and color, and happily making that appointment, I decided to get a mini-facial before. What a great combination! The facial was pampering and left me glowing! And Oksana did an amazing job with my hair! I walked in with three fading shades, including a brassy red and I walked out with a very shiny and natural color and a sassy new cut. I was impressed with how quickly and confidently she cut my wavy hair. The color wasn't a quick fix and Oksana really took her time to make sure I was comfortable and that I'd be satisfied with the results. She even stayed late to make sure it was right. I highly recommend Oksana and all the services at this salon. They really care about you making you happy and offer European quality services and the latest natural products (I just noticed them... no one tried to push any on me.) Oksana loves her work and is a true pro!

Absolutely the best day spa in town!

I love this place! I received a gift certificate and was extremely happy with my experience. When I arrived I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the whole place and the friendliness of the staff. The mood was perfect for the experience I was about to have. The rooms were private and very comfortable; low lights and soft music. I chose the relaxation package and enjoyed a marvelous day of pampering and absolute pleasure. Not only did I get one of the best massages I've ever had (in the top 2) but I received a delicious facial from a completely professional and very knowledgeable esthetician. She has a magic touch. I was even treated to lunch...mmmmm good! And that's not all, I was given a fantastic haircut, pedicure and manicure. I left floating on air. I will be a regular from now on. I would recommend New Essence to anyone who wants the best services and highest quality care.

The best facial on the planet

I had my first facial at New Essence a couple of weeks ago. I had read many reviews about Svetlana being the best so I made an appointment with her. I walked in and the receptionist was sincerely nice and hospitable. It wasn't one of those fake sales kind of nice. She struck up a conversation and we chatted while she showed me to the facial room, where I donned a very comfortable wrap. The room was dimly lit with soothing music to set the mood. I choose the Deep Pore Cleansing facial, which was amazing. She thoroughly cleansed my face, massaged my arms, back, shoulders, face, and got me completely relaxed. I was completely limp with relaxation after the session. The extractions were not painful and she did not push any product on me at all. She was gracious and said that she could recommend a product if I would like to hear about it, which I did. She gave me a written skin cleansing schedule, which I now use. My skin was glowing and felt amazing. I cannot say enough great things about Svetlana! I love her. I ended my day with a manicure. I had read a few complaints but I have to tell you that my manicurist was amazing as well. She was very attentive and I had a wonderful hand rub and manicure. The whole experience was amazing. Although some have said that it?s a bit pricey, I truly feel that it was worth every dime. I intend to go for bimonthly Take care of me facials. I recommend you go as well.

Avoid manicures/pedicures

It's an Ok place. But nothing to rave about whatsoever. You will be the only client in the salon and still will be waiting forever. Beware of pedicures/manicures! What a waste of time and money! You can get a better quality at half the price elsewhere.

Expert hair color and style

After years of coloring my own hair to save money, only to have the new color fade quickly to reveal my gray hair, I decided finally to consult a professional. I met with Oksana to discuss what look would best suit my needs. She was very careful and discussed color options with me before proceeding. Once we agreed on a color I sat back to a enjoy a relaxing visit in this salon's beautiful, sleek and clean surroundings, as Oksana worked on my hair. Once the coloring was completed I was treated to an invigorating head massage, shampoo and rinse.

As Oksana dried my hair the true color revealed itself. It was perfect! So natural and youthful. It really complimented my skin tone and eyes. Next, she recommended a cut to suit my face and style. Again - success! Oksana used high quality products on my hair. The color lasted so long. It was silly of me to think I was saving money before since I had to recolor my hair so often with cheap, over-the-counter products. Oksana also recommended a hair product to protect my hair from fading from sun exposure. This too helped keep the rich color in my hair longer.

I've since returned to the salon again and ask for Oksana. I've even brought my children for haircuts. Oksana has a keen eye for the look that's right for you. Now my kids don't want to go to the kid haircutting places any more. They consider it a treat to go to New Essence to have Oksana style their hair.

I highly recommend this salon. I'm not one to fuss with my looks very much but when a friend asked recently where to go for a color and highlights I didn't hesitate to give her Oksana's number. My friend had over three shades of color in her hair - dark brown, orange and blonde. You've seen the look - like a tiger with stripes! Again, Oksana took the time to consider what would be best to cover the dark brown and orange, yet bring out the best in the honey blonde to suit my friend's looks. When the job was done my friend looked amazing. Definitely a classy place.

Amazing treat, so great and relaxing?

Bio ? Choice BTL Skin treatment with Lana was the best I ever had, amazing results, all my friends are asking what I did. I love getting compliments for my skin. I am so happy with the results. If you want to try something different, this is the place to go. I just wanted to share my experience with you.

My first impression

I went to New Essence for the first time after receiving a gift card for Christmas. They have the nicest pedicure stations. The waxing is excellent and virtually painless. And they really know what they are talking about when it comes to skin care. With its relaxing super clean atmosphere, helpful staff, and no sales pressure, I?d definitely recommend this place.

Definitely, I would go back!

I went to a massage this morning and absolutely fell in love with this place - such a little haven for being in the city. The massage was wonderful after spending an hour getting a full body massage I feel like my body and my soul are singing. The atmosphere is extremely comfortable and welcoming. The staff is friendly, professional, and caring. Truly a good experience and I would recommend New Essence to all of my friends and family. Thank you

Sloppy Cuts

I was looking for a place to get a haircut and walked into this salon, and it was pretty in/out. when i got to the frontdesk to pay, i was shocked that it was $40! i got in my car and noticed i had hair all over my neck and even in my ears! the difference between supercuts and this place is the price. point said.
