My husband and I decided to try the food at Taverna after having heard they have a new Executive Chef on board. WOW! We shared an appetizer of Parmesan Shrimp Al Horno. We chose to follow with the specials of the night. My husband had the pork tenderloin with Gorgonzola polenta and cranberry gastrique and I had the Cod with prosciutto and potato, lightly crisped, and served with fennel and cabbage with a lemon caper sauce. Everything was perfectly prepared, beautifully presented and delicious! Not your everyday fare, and after reading some of the other reviews I felt compelled to write to sing praises about the outstanding food and service. Dessert was also a treat. The Sicilian Canoli and Tiramisou were homemade and a delightful ending to a wonderful meal. Yum Yum! Don't let the naysayers frighten you off.....take a chance. It's is most likely not your last meal....and you may have just found a new favorite restaurant. We did!
Pros: Definitely a step above your every day food.
Cons: Parking is limited, however there is paid parking around the corner.
