I recently moved here from a house with a nice big yard (to a 3rd floor apartment) - BIG change for a young pup! I was so happy to find Taurus @ McNeil...close to my house and a great, safe, clean & fun place for her to play during the day while I'm at work. I tried several other facilities prior to finding Taurus, but some were too far, or too unorganized, too "free"/dogs just running around, or too loud (barking barking barking dogs) - Taurus was just perfect! The staff is wonderful, they seperate out the dogs by size for play, they have "rest"/down time in an airconditioned area. Most importantly, Molly gets SO excited to stay there (she jumps in the car when I ask her if she wants to "go play"! The first day I picked her up, I got her report card, complete with a list of her new "friends" and what she did during the day!! ...it's hanging up on my refrigerator. Thanks Taurus from Molly & her "mom" - valerie ; )
Pros: loving, clean, safe & fun place for your pooch!!
Cons: gets expensive for long term (weekly) play days

We are new pet owners and wanted to get our newly adopted dog accustomed to doggie play day at Taurus before boarding him there over the holidays. The staff at Taurus were very kind and sensitive to our dog's needs (and to mine!). On our first day, they gave us a tour, explained how they group the dogs into play groups by size and temperament, and offered to call me at lunchtime to let me know how he was doing -- and they did. The second time we took our dog for a play day, he came home totally pooped and very, very dirty! Guess I can't complain, because he obviously played hard in the yard. Lucky for us, dogs who board overnight can get a bath before pick-up!
Pros: Nice staff, clean, play groups by size/temperament
Cons: Tiny parking lot
