Great move from Houston to Austin

These guys moved me from Houston to Austin this week and they did a really great job. The crew was on time to pick me up in Houston. They were fast, friendly, polite and did a wonderful job packaging everything for the trip. It took a couple of hours to load the truck and then they drove straight to my new place in Austin. My building didn't tell me that I needed to have the movers send an insurance certificate to them, but the office at Elephant Moving was able to get a certificate over to them in about 15 minutes so there was hardly any delay for my movers. I really appreciated how they came through so quickly on that. The unloading took longer than loading because of the freight elevator but they still came in as estimated even with the insurance delay. I appreciated how the movers made sure everything was placed in my new apartment exactly where i wanted it. It was a painless and easy process to move with them and I will certainly use Elephant Moving next time I move. I know that they will take good care of me and handle everything in a professional manner.

Saved at least a couple hundred bucks on my move!

Saved at least a couple hundred bucks on my move when I moved with Elephant Moving and Storage. In the past when I had to move my house I had to buy at least $200 worth of packing boxes and tape in order to pack my home, not to mention the trouble of going to one of the hardware stores and carting all those boxes home. This time when I searched for movers I saw Elephant Moving had some winter special that offered free packing crates for two weeks. So I booked my move with Elephant Movers since the price of the overall move was very competitive. And the next day I received a delivery right to my door of over 100 of those plastic packing crates (no tape needed, yippee); I must say that they made packing my house much easier and much more efficient than in the past! Great idea to reuse boxes, save the earth and save money. Call Elephant Moving and ask them for this great service to save yourself time and money. Very highly recommended!

Absolutely use Elephant Moving with no hesitation!

I had to deal with a very tricky situation with the closing on my new home - I had to postpone my move twice at the last minute because of this. The gal in the office was very nice and calm and rescheduled our move with no problem; she was extremely helpful. On the move day the movers did a fantastic job. They were very cautious with our furniture, it was actually very interesting how they covered and taped all the pieces with those mover blankets. It was very effective and protected the furniture from being scratched or rubbed during the move. The movers worked very hard throughout the whole move and gave me excellent service even after 7 hours of hard hauling. The moving exeprince was much easier thanks to Elephant Moving. Great service, great employees.

Great Interstate Move Experience

They moved us to Los Angeles, CA. The move went exactly according to plan from beginning to end. They came to our house and did an estimate for us so that we would know how much the move would cost. We couldn't afford to have movers pack the whole house, but they did pack up the kitchen and some artworks that my wife was worried about protecting. The guys that loaded up our stuff were very nice and polite. They made sure the things they packed were labelled and they put all the hardware together for the things they took apart to avoid confusion at the other end. We went straight to CA and were ready in our new house within a couple of days of leaving Austin. The movers arrived with our stuff 4 days after picking it up, which was a little earlier than we expected it (they told us it would take 5-7 days) but earlier is better when you have nothing to sit on! Almost everything made it to our new place in one piece. There was a chair that lost a leg, but it was a cheap ikea chair with spindly little legs that the movers warned me would probably break if they didn't box it up. It wasn't worth the cost to do that so we took our chances. Other than that, everything looked great on arrival after such a long journey. The things the movers packed did not break, much to the delight of my wife. All in all, we consider the move a great success. It was stress free and everyone at elephant Moving was very easy to work with. Our things were delivered on time and the price was as promised. Highly recommended.

Bent Over Backwards to Accommodate Me!

I love Elephant Moving! They managed to fit in my move at the last minute on what I found out was one of the busiest days of the year for movers at the end of July. We had a last minute change of plans that meant we suddenly had to be out of our house in Austin a lot sooner than expected, and then we couldn't move into our new home in San Antonio for a few more days. Because it was such short notice every mover that I called was too busy to work our large and somewhat complicated move into their packed schedule on our preferred day, but Elephant Moving told me they could possibly work it in and that the manager would work on it and let me know. They did offer us a discount if we scheduled for the following Monday, but since that was going to cost us more money to lease back our house for those couple of days we really wanted the Friday move to happen. We set it up for Monday to hold the spot for us, but the manager was able to rearrange some things to get us on the schedule for Friday (and I am eternally grateful)! The crew that came to move us was fantastic. They worked very hard and really took great care of our stuff. They loaded up everything and took it to storage for a few days, then delivered it at the scheduled time to San Antonio. They treated the houses well, protected all the furniture, and even helped my kids rearrange their rooms a couple of times even though I'm sure it was annoying to take direction from a 7 year old! The office staff was super nice through the whole process and made sure to keep me posted on all the changes with the schedule. Our whole family was so stressed out when the move got fast tracked to an earlier date, but Elephant Moving took a lot of that stress out with great customer service. Everyone we dealt with was polite, helpful and friendly. I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone!

Disappointed

We used Elephant Moving recently and were very unhappy. This is our second long distance move, but the first with Elephant moving. Anyone who has moved knows how stressful it can be, and even more stressful when moving long distance. We were very limited on time, so we just went with the first company that responded. I have never written an bad review, or any kind of review, but I feel in this case, the service was so poor, I need to write a review. Plus, after speaking to the company after receiving our belongings, I don't believe the responses from the company to other bad reviews as to the reasons for the bad service complained about in complaints posted. To start off, the initial conversations with Elephant Movers was fine and pleasant. We did have more stuff than we thought, so we were not surprised our charge was more than the estimate. That part (the estimate) was written out in the agreement and discussed when we booked Elephant Moving. We needed out stuff to arrive by a certain time and we asked when our belongings needed to be picked up so it would arrive by then. They told us a date, and our stuff was picked up and sent away. The people picking up the stuff were very friendly and polite. We paid with a money order, as stated that we could pay with, with no problems. The delivery was a nightmare. We tried reaching the company over 4 times because we did not receive our belongings when we were told we would. Each time, we were told we would get a call back, but we never did. Then the actual person delivering our belongings gave us a very difficult time when we handed him a money order. He said they "only accept cash". Which is clearly NOT what we were told. When We told him that we paid the people who picked up our stuff with a money order, he said "That's a different person". After arguing for over half an hour, he agreed to take the money order. The delivery went ok. Then when we got the response about why the delivery was late, we were VERY ANGRY. We were told it was our fault since we wanted our belongings picked up by a certain date. THAT IS NOT TRUE. WE NEVER SAID THAT. We wanted the delivery by a certain date NOT the pick up, and we even asked them when they needed the belongings picked up. We were ready on the date THEY TOLD US. ALso, why did no one tell us that the other 4 times we called? I guess someone there made up that part of the call to cover themselves. We thought about calling and complaining, but we knew they would just say we were lying. We don't want anything to do with this company ever again. I'm sure they will respond with another lie and say it's our fault, and not theirs as they did with every other negative post on this site.

Fantastic Service for Student Moving

This is the 3rd year that I am using Elephant Moving's services for my student daughter, and the customer service has been fantastic just like every year! The ladies in their office are so helpful and patient. They really know what they are doing! They saved me so much time and effort on this move. My daughter says that the crew that came to move her was very nice and efficient like every year and this year they even helped her to get rid of some stuff she didn’t need and took it to the dumpster for her. I am writing this review mainly to thank the girls in the office who serviced me so well over the phone and helped me get my daughter's stuff moved and stored for the summer without the hassle of me coming all the way from Dallas to help her with it myself!

Bad business

This company moved all our belongings last year from a house to another and they damaged a lot of our furniture and the wooden floor in our old, now rental home. I have pictures to prove everything. I wrote them and called them a few times and they never answered. Their rating with BBB at this point in time is an F and I hope it will stay that way. DO NOT USE this company to move your belongings if you care for the end result, you will might end up facing many problems. Also, we found out over time that some of our things were missing and I had to call them. They delivered our missing items, but my question is why wasn't everything delivered since the beginning?

Stay away from this company and always check the BBB ratings before using them or anyone else.

All customers have the opportunity to purchase additional insurance if desired otherwise the basic liability will apply.

Great Recommendation from My Realtor

I was referred to Elephant Moving and Storage by my realtor. When we bought our new home we mentioned our concerns about moving to our realtor and he recommended Elephant Moving because of the good experience he had with them on his personal move and with his past clients who were extremely satisfied. It was a great recommendation because our move also went really smooth and the crew that moved us was extremely professional, careful, efficient and polite.

The movers moved two truck loads for us with just a minor damage to one box. They reassembled and placed our furniture in the new house exactly the way we needed it and saved us plenty of time putting things together ourselves. They were very nice about rearranging some items that we weren't sure where to place. We are very happy with Elephant Moving's service and want to thank our realtor and Elephant Movers for making the move hassle free.

Elephant Moving, you guys rock!

We used Elephant Moving and Storage to move and store our band equipment during SXSW. Their service was awesome and very helpful. We needed their help during very weird hours when most of the storages and moving companies were not open and offering service. Elephant Moving was there for us all the time - in the middle of the night, early morning, you name it!

When everyone was tired and wanted to enjoy the SXSW atmosphere the movers were there folding and loading the equipment. The movers John and Cris were always on time at the sites to drop off or pick up our stuff and made us feel like real rock stars by doing all the hard work of loading and carting all the equipment. It was very hard to find a company in Austin that would open for us in the middle of the night and the ones that agreed wanted to charge us a fortune. Lucky us we found Elephant and they were very accommodating and the price was more than fair, so thanks Elephant and keep Austin rocking!
