Great Doctor

Dr. Lain is very knowledgeable and has excellent bedside manner. I took my teenage daughter to him because she was experiencing severe acne on her chest and back. She didn't want to go because she was very self-conscious and embarrassed but Dr. Lain was so nice she left his office with a smile. The prescriptions we got started working right away. Her chest and back cleared up fast. I also battle with acne and have been using Dr. Lain's products which work better than anything I've used in the past. The girls at the front desk are awesome; his office is easy to find and has plenty of parking.

Quite simply the best

I have been a patient of Dr Lain's almost since he opened the Steiner Ranch office. I have used Dr Lain for my annual skin cancer checks, removal of moles that were troublesome, botox, and fillers. I have to say I get many comments on how young I look for my age. I appreciate the fact that Dr Lain can be honest about what looks good and can achieve that look without the frozen face that I sometimes see.

As someone whose lifestyle means spending a lot of time in the sun, I have been able to keep age spots and other sun damage at bay with regular visits to Dr Lain, facials with Karey, and laser treatments. The care I receive at Steiner Ranch from everyone is simply the best there is. I just can't seem to get in as easily as the "good old days" when nobody knew how great it is!

Great Dermatologist, Amazing Botox Treatments

Dr. Lain really cares about his patients, I went to him for Botox and he took the less is more approach with me. I really appreciate his honesty and it saved me some money. I have had Botox from someone else who was up selling me on more Botox than I really needed.

Dr. Lain's injections were perfect, no bruising and no redness! and my wrinkle lines are gone, for now... I will definitely be back.

Awesome doctor!!

We moved here from California and my daughter was having a skin pigmentation problem. I had taked her to several doctors in California and no-one could diagenois her finally we brought her to Dr. Ted Lain and he was able not only to diagnosis her but treat her and get her skin back to normal. He knows his stuff and I wouldnt go anywhere else but him!! Thank you Dr. Lain you rock!!

So-so acne care

I have mixed feelings about the service given me by Dr. Lain. As an adult, I have experienced more acne than when I was a teenager, but it still isn't awful. In fact, it is minor, but I just had some blemishes and blackheads I wanted to be rid of. My first visit with Dr. Lain was great. He and his office staff are wonderful. I was given a few prescriptions for my acne, and within weeks, my skin was clearing. My problem with Dr. Lain resulted from my follow-up appointment when Dr. Lain spent all of 3-4 minutes with me saying there was not much more he could do for me even after I explained to him that I had many blackheads on a daily basis. I didn't expect a miracle, and I understand that my skin may never be perfect, but I did expect a little more time from him. I felt thrown to the curb. He even admitted to me that that had to have been the quickest doctor appointment I'd ever had! I guess after reading how wonderful he was with Botox and skincare, I expected he could help me. I will follow up with him, but I don't have the faith in him I did before.

Which we obviously didn't do in your case. We hope that you'll give our office another chance to help you. There are many ways to treat acne, and different types of acne require individualized treatment plans. We try to work with patients to develop a plan that will a) improve their acne and b) fit in with their lifestyle and habits. It sounds like we developed a plan that worked to a certain point, but needed tweeking to completely meet your skin's needs.

Wonderful experience!

Dr. Lain is FANTASTIC! This was my first experience with a dermatologist, and I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Lain. I have learned so much about caring for my skin and wish that I had paid more attention to it earlier in my life. He is so knowledgeable, and his skin+metrics products and special techniques are absolutely fantastic and have made an amazing difference in the tone and texture of my complexion. The added bonus is that Dr. Lain is such a nice man, his staff is just wonderful and so welcoming and attentive, and a visit to Steiner Ranch Dermatology is a real treat.

Dr. Lain is my new dermatologist...

I saw Dr. Lain for an annual skin check and to show him some stuff I was concerned about. Very professional, congenial, and thorough. Clean, modern office and very friendly staff. Dr. Lain was running 5 minutes behind schedule, but came in to check in on me and let me know he would be see me in a few minutes -- I wasn't just sitting there, waiting. ;) He makes you feel comfortable and explains everything he is checking. I would recommend him as a dermatologist, and plan on seeing him annually (even though the practice does all of that botox and skin rejuvenation, I just go for the regular, once-a-year dermatology stuff...)

Best Dermatologist in Texas

I've had a skin condition for years, and have seen many dermatologists. Dr. Lain not only cured me, but I have now been back twice for Botox and a wrinkle filler. I have taken my family members to see him, and would recommend him without any hesitation.

Best Dermatologist with modern skin solutions!

Dr. Ted Lain completely understood my skin and it's needs on the first visit! He was also very patient with all of my questions from the beginning. Unlike other dermatologists I've visited in the past, Dr. Lain helped me find solutions for my skin issues: acne scars and a few developing wrinkles. The best part was leaving Steiner Ranch Dermatology with a solution, and not leaving with a shelf full of products!

Most knowledgeable + Friendly Staff

I have seen my fair share of dermatologists in my life and none have had better patient communication skills then Dr. Lain. His passion for good skin care comes across very nicely as he describes various ways to improve the health of my skin without making me feel awkward. As a guy, I normally wait for a very long time before calling on a doctor, but I am certainly glad that I called Dr. Lain. I learned how and why the sun effects our skin the way that it does and he also showed me several procedures that will help my skin look years younger. I recommend Dr. Lain to anyone who has been thinking about visiting a dermatologist for a consultation on new procedures - his relaxed atmosphere and great demeanor will leave you feeling very comfortable about your decisions.
