Our Toyota Camry was about to be traded in. We had a bad case of new car fever. When Autoshine returned my car I couldn't believe it! It sparkled. We were having it done to get ready to trade it in....but, these guys cured our new car fever. We're keeping now. We have that new car feeling again and without spending all that money. I wish that they could do the same thing for our house. Free pick up and delivery, on time, and WOW!

Amazing attention to detail. George and his crew exceded my expectations and I'm very, very particular. My black BMW didn't even look this good when it was new. No swirls! The finish is deep and wet! The interior not only is spotfree, but they don't use that glossy goopy stuff that other shop have put on my plastic and leather. I recommend them to anyone. I've search for a true detail shop for years and now that I've found them I will never go anywhere else. Five big stars!

You will find this post in every possible place I can put it. George Harlan is as low as they get. I gave my car to him for a full detail inside and out, instead I get a call telling me his guys drove my car without latching my hood down and it'd popped up and broke my windshield. He had one of his guys return it without him even looking at it. He told me his insurance would cover it and apologized up and down- all a lie. Within a a few days he'd stopped returning my calls completely. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS SERVICE. I'm sure they do great work (when they don't damage your car), or I wouldn't have let my car go to them in the first place...but NO person of such LOW caliber should be trusted with your vehicle! For anyone who wonders- no address is registered with his shop. One address is a PO box, the other is his home address.

Pros: They come get your car.....

Cons: They return it to you damaged and then ignore all your calls.

I've used Autoshine since the 1980's when I first moved to Austin, Our cars and trucks have always been something to show off when we get them back from Autoshine. The friendly pick-up and delivery service just makes it that much more convenient for us now. No wonder the car clubs in Austin all use Autoshine before their big car shows. Whenever anyone from work rides with me in my car they always comment on how well I keep my cars an comment to each other about how much time I must spend on keeping it so well maintained. No other place in Austin is like it and with that old Austin pride in their performance makes you know you got it done right. And I've actually seen them use Q Tips when detailing my dashboard.

Great customer service!!! I have never had a better detail and I am very picky!! How many companies pick up and deliver? The bad review that I read had to have been a problem customer! I could never imagine George hanging up on someone without reason!! I will always use this company for every detail!!!

I've read some of the negative comments left by some of the others and couldn't believe we were talking about the same place. I took my car to Autoshine last July and they did a wonderful job. In fact, I took in with me a "paint pen" that I bought and they used it and patched up all the little scatches, etc. The inside looked and smelled new again and the engine looked great. (In fact, the last time I took it to the dealership for service, they commented on how clean the engine still looked and how the shine was still great - my car is a 2006. I informed them that I'd had it detailed and his comment was they did a great job.) The only thing I would like to see changed is they do not take credit cards. I do not carry a check book and when I picked up my car, I was told me they only took cash or checks ( I guess I should have asked before dropping it off). But they let me take my car to go get cash, so it worked out fine. I could not be more pleased with the job they did and have decided that I will continue to take my car to Autoshine each year to keep it looking and smelling like new.

I have waited at home for three days since my appointment to have my car picked up and detailed. Nobody called to let me know they were not coming. Every time I called, they had an excuse. Yesterday it was rain (it was definitely raining). Today it was rain (it's not raining). I'm trying to sell my car right away, and I told George that I didn't mind if it gets rained on, because I need to get it sold and I'm primarily concerned about the interior. I wasn't accusatory, just letting him know the facts. He was extremely rude, and said "Well, you just need to find someone who likes working in the rain, then!" and HUNG UP ON ME! I don't see how someone can stay in business and treat people this way.

When I first took my car to Autoshine it was on the recommendation of my mechanic. The first time they did a very good job. I thought the price was fair and they did a better job than I would have. The second, and last, time I took my car there it was a disaster. To start off I was promised that my car would be ready when I came by after work. Instead they decided other cars were more important and I ended up having to wait for my car. Unfortunately there were problems when they were done. The biggest was that they had worn right through the paint on the edges of my passenger side door. ( I assume they brought out the orbital waxer in lieu of the hand waxing to get the car out faster). I spoke to the person that detailed my car and he denied doing it. I spoke to their manager and then to the owner George. After arguing with him for a while he told me to ,"Take your f'n car off my f'n lot and bring me a bill and I might f'n pay it." As you might imagine I do not recommend this place.

Pros: The did a nice job once.

Cons: Standing behind their work and customer service are things they do not understand.

Car detailing was done poorly with areas missed - like dashboard, fuel door, door jambs. Sheen was gone in 48 hours. Additional problems include: a loss of a CD wallet (owner explained they returned it to the wrong customer's car), and that they would not honor their web or Chronicle coupon.

Pros: None

Cons: Poor detail work, lost of property, Shine didn't last very long

I recently had my new - 4 year old car - detailed at Autoshine of Austin and that is the best decision I could have made to bring my car back to a beautiful new car appearance. I have a busy work schedule so their pick up and delivery service was really convenient and George (the owner) does the pick up and delivery himself so I felt like my car was in good hands. My car was previously owned by a heavy smoker and Autoshine completely got rid of the smell and the stains! That's AMAZING! They also did an excellent job of restoring the shine to the paint and they even cleaned my trunk. I felt their customer service was excellent and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a professional detail for their car. I have previously done business with 2 other detail shops in town, one on Burnet Road in a really large shop (size obviously doesn't matter) and one on South Lamar - and there is no comparison. Some claim to be the best when all they do is cover up problems or try to sell you something you don't need. George Harlan at Autoshine has the experience and the knowledge to do the right job for a very competitive price and after getting my car back - I knew I had made the right choice.
