My lawn looks AWESOME thanks to Hunter Sprinklers! I purchased a home last August but with the watering restrictions I had to wait until this spring to put in a lawn and irrigation. I inquired with several other companies, most of them never returned my calls but Alan answered the phone and came out the same day and I recieved my bid that evening.

I was a little indecisive but Alan and Matt were very patient with me and answered all my questions, revised my bid and put me on the schedule whe I was ready to go. .

The team they sent to my house did a great job, I have never seen men work so hard with smiles on their faces! They did a great job, were very nice and respectful. There was no trash, debris or mess afterwards, it was perfect! When they left I had a lush gree lawn!

Their equipment is very good and the controller was easy to operate, especially after Matt came by to do my walk and went through it with me. He still doesn't mind if I call and ask questions on my settings.

Class Act from Initial Bid to Final Tutorial. Never had a sprinkler system before. Matt and Allen treated me and my wife with kid gloves. We asked tons of questions and Allen was quick to respond to each and every email. (very patient) Their crew was quick, thourough and very courteous. The clean up was immaculate. Afterwards, Matt gave me and my wife a detailed walk through of the controller and the system components. All in all I would give this company an AAA+++. Their price was not the very lowest we had received, but we compared the bids and the warranty was longer than the lowest bid and parts were better. I am not much on writing reviews, but both me and my wife thought this deserved it. Thanks guys! No more hose dragging. We will deffinitely pass your name along to anyone who asks us.…

Disappeared!!. We called Hunter Irrigation because they seemed to have gotten great reviews. We needed someone to come out and service our system. It took a few days to get a call back but we understood because it was spring and they were probably busy.

After getting the call back we set an appointment with Calvin to come out and give us an estimate for the repairs and tune up.

When Calvin came out he asked how we found them and we told him "on the internet". Calvin said "Yeah, we got one bad review but that person was a difficult customer".

Calvin gave us an estimate and set an appointment for the following Monday. Me and my wife had to adjust our work schedules so we could be there while they worked on the system. They were a no show!!! We called Calvin two or three times with no call back to let us know what was going on. Finally I spoke with Matt who said he didn't understand why they didn't show up but he would call Calvin and then call me back. Nope, that never happened either. Two days later and no call back from anyone.

If this was the start of how the customer service was going to be I guess we lucked out. I just wish they would have at least told us that they didn't want to do the job before we took off work to accomodate them.

Needless to say I won't be calling them back and hope that no one else does.…

Best Experience Yet. I just wanted to let everyone know what a wonderful experience we had with these guys. I sent them an initial email asking for a quote, and within a few days we had a quote that was a far better price than the competition we had gotten quotes from. Their equipment is top notch, and we couldn't be happier.

They did have to delay a few days due to heavy rains in Austin (not their fault) and they showed up right when they said they would on the install day. Their install team was very friendly and courteous, answered all of our questions even while they were working. Once finished, they adjusted all of the heads to make sure that everything was covered, and they did a wonderful job of cleaning up the yard afterwards. There was no trash left behind, they even washed down the driveway and sidewalks for us.

The controller in our garage is very easy to use, at the time of writing this, they have not been by to give us training on how to use it (they just finished the install last night), but we were able to get it running on our own just by looking at the box.

Again, I have absolutely no complaints and I would recommend Hunter Irrigation to anyone looking to get a sprinkler system put in. Just to give you an idea, the price quoted was anywhere from $500 to $1500 less than some of the others we got prices from. Well done guys!…

Great Customer Service Long after the Sale!. I researched half a dozen companies in April 2010 to install a new sprinkler system in my front and backyard at Avery Ranch (in NW Austin). This company gave one of the best bids, were friendly in explaining their estimate, and seemed to know what they were doing.

I went with them, and the job was done in a few days. They did extra work for me to put in new grass patches all over my yard (since my own manual watering had killed off portions of my yard over the years...).

If I had any questions, Matt or Alan were able to get back quickly and explain stuff patiently..

VERDICT? Excellent job. Fast, quality work. Great customer service. They may be busy on a given day, but they will get back to you shortly because it does matter to them. Highly Recommended.

FOLLOW UP: Almost 18 months after the install (Oct 2011), I noticed a problem with one of the zones acting erratically. I called the company, and Matt and Alan came out Monday morning, looked at the system, fixed the problem promptly... all with a friendly smile and attitude.…

Austin's very best Irrigation specialist. Many of the comments noted here are so true about these two gentlemen. They provide excellent customer service. Several times after our installment was completed we had questions they responded immediately. As for the installation I must say it was done in two days total, Matt's team is amazingly competant I could not get over how fast they dug up the yard for the install then had the whole system installed in 2 days. Matt continures to provide such excellent service, we had problems not understanding how the system worked he came several times to help my brother and I program the system to comply with the manditory watering schedule. I wish this business every success they truly deserve every alloclade, they are honest, hard working,and patient with folks who just don't get how to program correctly. They never loose patience and are always considerate. They are the epitomy of great business. I wish them many customers. Great experience. Matt and Alan are great representatives for the company. Alan responded almost instantly to every email I sent. Matt was the crew chief for our place and is very knowledgable about sprinkler systems and designed a 10 zone system that has 100% coverage of our yard. We used a different landscaper to put in a new yard and used Hunter for the irrigation system even though our landscaper had his own company he liked to do business with. Our landscaper was as impressed with the price and work that Hunter did as we were. He even told me that he could not match Hunter's price. The Hunter crew worked hard and did a great job. They dug the trenches by hand and were very careful they did not damage any existing landscaping. They raked the whole yard after putting in the system and hauled off all the rocks and debris even though they knew I had a landscaper that was going to be putting in sod. Matt thoroughly explained the controls and came back and adjusted some sprinkler heads after we had the sod laid.

We would use Hunter again and have recommended them to many of our friends and coworkers.

If I had known that Hunter did landscaping as well as irrigation before I hired the other contractor I would probably have used Hunter. Not that my guy did not do a good job, but that I was so impressed with the job that Hunter did with the irrigation I know they would have done a fantastic landscaping job as well.…

Got stood up on appointment with no call or response after.. I received Matt's info from my neighbor that got a sprinkler system put in from Hunter Irrigation & Landscaping about a month or so ago. I am in need of a sprinkler system and landscaping as well since I just purchased my home in Oct of last year and want to make quite a few changes. I called and spoke with Matt last week and set an appointment for this past Saturday at 9:30 as said he likes to do them earlier in the morning. 9:30 came and went and no one showed. at 10, I called both numbers on the card and got voicemail. I left a message on Matt's voicemail and got no response. I had errands I had to do, but instead stayed at home waiting on someone that may or may not show up. If something happened, that would have been totally fine, but no call back even after a voicemail from being stood up is not at all professional. I'm sure they do good work when you can get hold of them, but i'll be taking my 6K budget for this project elsewhere. This set the tone for me on the kind of dedication i can expect on this company anyway.…
