Fun Beer Garden, Delicious Pasta and Italian Wine
by CPO
As you step in the door, you notice this place is a little classier than most of the other restaurants on South Congress. The small, intimate space makes you ready for a dining experience.
We started with the Porcini Crusted Sea Scallops which were amazing! You will want to savor every bite. We also paired some of their delicious Italian red wine with the Mushroom Pansotti. The bread and olive oil is so good that you'll want to clean the plate.
Plus, they have a great beer garden with happy hour specials and music for casual nights in SoCo.
- Pros: Every bite makes you smile
- Cons: You pay for what you get!
Fun Fine Dining on South Congress
by PaddyMcP
Botticelli's is the closest thing you'll find to a fine dining experience in a quaint setting on South Congress. Excellent food, great wine, and a more upscale (but still welcoming) clientele can be expected at this Italian Restaurant.
We tried the Scallops for an appetizer-- they were great. Served with sliced apples and creme fresh, they were a tasty way to start the meal. The mushroom pansotti and butternut squash ravioli were both GREAT. Also, the serving sizes are just right-- not too big to overly stuff you, but enough for a good meal.
Botticelli's is the perfect spot if looking for a fine meal at a reasonable cost on South Congress.
- Pros: Excellent Food - Reasonable Cost
- Cons: .. ?
Definitely will go back...

I've had a run of bad luck lately when it comes to dining out but enjoyed dinner here last weekend. It's nice to be able to make a reservation, food was very good, service was also good. Great atmosphere, too. Only challenge is it gets very loud so can be challenging to hear the other people at your table. I'd definitely recommend this place.
- Pros: Food, cocktails, atmosphere
- Cons: Noisy
Decent Food, Terrible Atmosphere
by austintexas78701
THE GOOD: Great wine list, eggplant bruschetta was memorable; the squash ravioli was very nice and elegant with simple blended flavors.
THE BAD: The atmosphere was unbearable. The dining room is very small and crowded, with tables right next to the crowded bar area. We were speaking in near-shouting voices the entire night just to hear each other. My ears were ringing by the time we got out of there! To top this off, there was a lot of traffic passing through the dining area all night to get to the beer garden in back! I liken this to eating fine Italian food at a local sports bar?really not very appealing at all.
OVERALL: The food and service were memorable, but Botticelli's is not worth it due to the noisy atmosphere and horribly crowded dining experience.
- Pros: Food
- Cons: Atmosphere
Superior service and food

Obviously in a happening part of Austin. Take your chances finding parking - like in most of Austin. Very nice atmosphere. Noisy people enjoying themselves. Excellent service. Excellent food - our compliments to the Chef(s) and to the wait staff. We will definitely dine here when we return to Austin. Thank you Botticelli's for a lovely evening.
- Pros: Service, food, very nice facility
- Cons: Parking
Best Service, delicious food!

I hosted a large party here and was so impressed with the food and service. Our waitress was INCREDIBLE! She was so nice and always had a smile on her face. I had never had such a wonderful experience with staff at a restaurant. The food and wine was outstanding! I ordered the butternut squash pasta and fell in love! I am thankful I came upon Botticelli's and look forward to my next dining experience there.
Carmelo's Prices, Applebee's Atmosphere
by LucindaJones
My boyfriend and I just got back from our anniversary dinner at Botticelli's. The food and service were pretty good. The atmosphere, however, was horrible. We were seated in between the spiral staircase by the front door and a table of 8 really loud middle aged women. You know, if you want to clap and snort and yell, maybe you should go to a UT football game - or TGI Friday's.
The place is just incongruous. Reservations, white linen table clothes, $20 pasta, and candles, but then loud patrons in t shirts and a band out back. They either need to lower their prices and make it more casual dining or raise their prices so people know not to be loud and obnoxious during dinner. I really wanted to like this place since I think Austin is pretty low on good Italian food, and the food was pretty good, but it's like mixing Shady Grove with Asti. Not a good combo.
- Pros: food, service
- Cons: atmosphere
Horrid service
by Lovedinnerout
We had dinner for 6 and could not hear a thing. The waiter forgot the appetizer, then brought the salad first and then the appetizers, and then brought the wrong one. Food was not bad but you have to put up with a lot. We would for sure not go back. Way too many places in Austin that have good food and appreciate service
- Pros: Food good
- Cons: price, loud, bad service
Loved it.

We dined there on 7/3, not realizing it was the first Thursday. It was jam packed, and thank goodness we made a reservation. The people without reservations were told the wait was close to two hours. The wait staff were very nice adn polite.
One of the owners was serving (Matt), and he was very nice to talk to. The scallop appetizer knocked my socks off. It was delicious! The wine was wonderful, and reasonably priced, so ordering a bottle of wine was not too much. We sat inside, but I hear sitting outside is even more awesome, especially when a band is playing.
I will eat here again and again.
- Pros: Location (So Co), Great Food, Great Owner, Young, Reasonably Priced
- Cons: Hard to find parking space, Appetizers are so yummy, you get full before the entree
AMAZING!

The Botticelli brothers have simply created a masterpiece! If you have not had the opportunity to experience the gracious duo you have been missing out. They are not only talented at making each person feel special, but the food is outstanding! The Botticelli bread, the scallops, the sea bass, the beef, the wine selection....all fabulous! I almost forgot to mention the atmosphere is also great. Sit inside for a romantic dinner or outside for a fun party atmosphere with live music. 2 doors down from the Continental Club on S. Congress (which is where I planned to go next, but was having too good of a time to leave) My party and I had such a great time! Thanks and we will be back!
- Pros: Service, food, ambiance, value
- Cons: none
