Acupuncture helped me
by kateshaw07
I have been to AHHA for acupuncture and herbs many times over the years and I am always happy and sometimes amazed with the results. Dave and Heather have helped me with everything from colds and flu to migraines to stress. Every time I start to feel like I?m coming down with an infection I call the clinic and they get me right in. I get a treatment and they send me home with herbs, which don?t taste all that great but they WORK! Instead of being sick for a week, I feel much better after a treatment and a couple doses of herbs. Works every time! The first time I went to AHHA with a migraine, it took one treatment to knock it out. I walked in nauseous with my head throbbing and walked out pain-free. Not all ailments are fixed after just one treatment, of course. I see Dave on an on-going basis to help manage stress and PMS. A treatment once a week along w/ herbs really helps even my moods and manage the physical symptoms of PMS. Dave and Heather are both incredibly knowledgeable?they explain things in terms of both modern scientific research and ancient philosophy. I highly recommend AHHA.
- Pros: Huge selection of raw herbs, plenty of parking, great practitioners, comfortable space.
- Cons: Herbs taste bad, just can't get around it. I don'
Integrity, Compassion and Fun

I have been so impressed with the folks at Austin Healing Herbs and Acupuncture. I have gone for a variety of things including long-term chronic issues and emergency issues and have received exactly what I needed every time, including being referred to another practitioner when that was the best choice. They consistently make me feel comfortable, relaxed and cared for and I refer them with absolute abandon to my friends, business associates and even once to a girl I just met on an elevator. Everyone who has taken my advice has raved about them so AHHA always makes me look like a rock star to the people I refer.
Caring, compassionate, professional

I have suffered from chronic stomach problems for the past 6 years. Many of my daily activities including exercising, volunteering, and grocery shopping were limited over the years. I have had to curtail traveling to visit friends and family. After undergoing numerous medical tests and trying many different prescription with uncomfortable side affects I was at a loss and accupunture was recommended. So, with great reservation I decided to try. It has been a success and my life has turned around. Both Heather and David are compassionate professionals and I would highly recommend this practice. I am extremely grateful to Heather for listening and for her expertise in guiding me through my healing process. She is very knowledgeable in both Western and Eastern medicine of which I have had many questions. This healing journey has been a good experience.

Thanks to Heather and Dave I have my life back! I had been on prescription pain medicine for many years to control chronic neck and shoulder pain and I felt the pills were controlling my life. When I decided to come off of these pills I went to Austin Healing Herbs and Acupuncture for help. After 6 weekly treatments of acupuncture and cupping my neck and shoulder pain is well managed and I now lead a drug-free life. I go in now once a month for maintenance and relaxation.
