I have been to Sagra twice over the past few weeks and it was great both times. The restaurant looks like an Italian farmhouse and makes for a great atmosphere for drinks or dinner. The pizzas are made in a real wood burning oven. Before this place opened, I was afraid Austin would never have any good pizza. It is so refreshing that the pizzas aren't drowned with cheese or toppings and have a nice thin crispy crust. I am glad they are not trying to make their menu Texas friendly (like so many restaurants do) by adding southwestern ingredients to Italian cuisine. All of the food is authentic, simple, and executed flawlessly. The wine list is great and very reasonably priced. The waitstaff was very sweet and attentive both times we were there. I think for the price, the quality of the food and service is great. I would recommend Sagra to everybody and cannot wait to go again.
