The positives Respectful doormen (How many do you know of who smile and say "Thank you" upon returning your ID?) Great Bartenders (friendly, efficient, and not wasted) Good crowd (put together well without trying too hard...no ears tucked into caps) The negative THE MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You have 2 speeds to choose from...1. Random corny music that only junior high school girls would dance to (in their little circle of course, purses in the middle)...and 2. Poory, poorly "remastered" pop songs mixed by their local DJ-the second something decent begins to play, he is already mixing something in that TOTALLY KILLS IT. Trust me-if multi platinum award winning artists with millionaire producers wanted Jay Z rapping over a Cindy Lauper song it would have already happened...know your role and play either popular (not MY choice) or good, rare stuff that makes me have to ask...but I guess this IS Austin and its good enough for the majority... Overall a classy place that still feels friendly...

The Marq is my new favorite bar in Austin!! The line was a little long, but once we got in we never left. The bartenders were cool and fast, and the girls were hot! It was so busy, but we got our drinks right away. We stayed until 2, and will be back again next weekend.
Pros: fun and great service
Cons: line was a little long but once we got in it was awesome

This bar is not only beautiful, owned by "The bachelor" and his brother and long time friend, but it has some of the nicest bartenders I have ever encountered! Even though it was busy in there, they were all so nice and I never had to wait very long for a drink. There were 2 blonde bartenders that really stuck out as being pretty and very classy and fast at what they do. Definately a good place to meet attractive people, but it seemed like everyone in there was hot!

Nice place, nice ambiance. Good music, enormous drinks. But I would't exactly amp it up to be the next great thing as first review. It's more of a young-person-trying-too-hard scene. Then again, I would't exactly take advise from someone who goes by "Astyle2nv"--sounds high schoolish to me. I'd recommend this place, if every other was closed.

Forget The Bachelor (who owns the place), there's plenty of bachelors running around up in hea! It's filled with young hot looking people including the bouncers and busboys! Bartender hooked it up with a round of drinks! Fun atmosphere, played really good music (was definitely impressed). One of the hottest spots in ATX!
Pros: hot staff
Cons: bathroom is a little strange, i dont want to go where a man has gone before, thanks! oh and no soap or paper towels (come on Bachelor, step it up dawg)
