The Dig as it has become known is a great place to relax and have a few Microbrews. They have rolating taps so they always have new beers to try, no bud or miller beers here :), just great hight alcohol brews. And in Cedar Park there is really no competition. It is very popular and a little small but the owns really stuck gold ( pun!!) and I think it will be growing soon. Great happy hour and the staff is friendly and know their beer. Cheers!!!!!

Pros: Beer, Staff is friendly, Atmoshere is great, Live Music

Cons: Small

My co-worker and I have been going here since it opened. This place is a truly awesome classy joint. The beer selection is very diverse, and the staff is eager to help you find what you are looking for. Our waitress remembers us and remembers what we order everytime. The ambience is super chill. They also have the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. This place has improved my vocabulary. I ordered an olive sandwich on accident, and I hate olives. But this sandwich still kicked a$$ and I ate three quarters of it until I figured it out! I guess the olive thing is mostly mental. I take new people here all the time. Mondays are the best, the all night happy hour is an unbeatable value. The dig pub is a very ambitious and well executed dream.

Pros: Great overall experience

Cons: Sometimes they run out of stuff, and I wish happy hour still went to seven

A true pub among pubs --- beers on draft that are not available anywhere else in Austin, with a newsletter describing same written monthly by the resident brewmeister. Incredible prices and specials, good food and great, friendly service, nice decor and the feel of a true bar --- check this spot out sooner rather than later as the crowds will surely grow.

Don't come to 'The Dig' and order a Bud/Miller/Coors Light. There is a bar for you on 1431, it's called The Post (which I also dig by the way - pun intended, but it is what it is, a dusty bar that reminds your in Cedar Park Texas, not Austin). The Dig Pub has not only the best beer selection in Cedar Park, and one of the best in Austin (top 10 think....) the vast majority of what they offer is local to Texas: Live Oak varieties, Real Ale varieties, St Arnold varieties, etc... Great food - I guess I would call it "gourmet grilled cheese" because it's not really fancy and it all seems to be a spin-off of grilled cheese somehow - but I promise it's great. Good people - Owners are great folks, wait staff/bartenders all very personable. Great atmosphere - I hung out there on New Years Eve and had a blast. Live music on the weekends... Get there early. Goes to standing room only by 5 o’clock or so on Thurs and Friday. Highly recommend. Watch out for the Dogfish, it'll hurt you.

Great owner, great staff, great beer, just great. A Starbucks with beer. Overstuffed couch in a bar? This ain't Mo's. Great Music when I was there, too.

Pros: Easy parking

Cons: Perhaps could be a bit bigger. Seating was full.

Austin, get jealous! Cedar Park has a real pub! It's was a long time coming but it was well worth the wait. The Dig is not a cocktail lounge or bar, it's a pub! The difference? The Dig serves quality hand-crafted micro-brew beers, nice wines, simple food, and is a great places for the "public" to gather. The name pub originated in England.--a public house, where the locals could gather and relax and catch up on the news of the village. The Dig serves toasted sandwiches (just like of the old traditional pubs in England and Ireland) which are AWESOME (with ingredients like Gorgonzola and non-individually wrapped "processed cheese products", deli meats, fresh basil, peppers etc.) The decor and furnishings fit the archeology theme. There's even a little area with comfy stuffed chairs and a sofa and coffee table with archeology books to peruse. The decor and furnishings are upscale and tasteful but not pretentious. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and genuinely friendly and warm--the crowd diverse but all have a few things in common--they appreciate good food, good wine, good beer and good people. For those who smoke, there are a couple of tables out on the patio, but for those who don't and can't handle it around them, the inside is wonderful and comfortable and the air is clear--yet another thing Cedar Park has been waiting for a gathering place with no smoking! We've trotted at LEAST 20 people in so far (and more to come), lots of them Brits who know what a real pub is. They all love it--some of them even driving up from Austin to visit. They also have a wireless network they'll let you log into so if you HAVE to have a sandwich and a beer but HAVE to keep working, You can do both. We've had a blast tasting new beers, chatting with staff when they're not swamped, and meeting the neighbors. The live music on weekends is great and the place swells up but it's not a madhouse. NXNW and BB Rovers...your competition has arrived...

Pros: Food, beer, wine, service, clientele

Cons: No salads on menu but the Blue Tomato ROCKS.

My wife and I just discovered this gem, and we are already hooked on the vibe and overall great selection. There are at least 20-25 beers on tap, and not the usual run of the mill stuff you can find anywhere. Selections I remember include Dogfish Head, Rogue, Victory, lots of Real Ale stuff, and a bunch more. We usually like to go to The Gingerman, or Flying Saucer (when in Dallas), but this is our new haunt for sure. Same selection, but closer to home. There is a food menu, it's mainly grilled sandwiches. We didn't eat but overheard many people around us commenting on how good it was, so we will plan on it next time.

Pros: Awesome beer selection, and truly original mayan themed tap wall.
