Jasper's was a very big disappointment for all the hype, the food was at best marginal. Service was slightly above average and the decor was ultra modern and fit in with the style of the Domain. The dining room was cold, drafty and the music was to loud for the small crowd in the restaurant. The appetizers were wonderful we had the Crispy Calamari ($14) and the Jasper's Three Cheese Focaccia ($10). The portions were very small for the price but would diffently eat these if I went back. We also had the soup of the day ($5) and the Grilled Chicken Masa Soup ($6). The soup of the day was creamy potatoe soup that was of average taste and the Grilled Chicken Masa Soup had a very odd taste to it which made it not very palatable. The biggest disappointment were our entrees we had the Striped Bass ($26) which came with mashed potatoes. We were told the fish portion was a good size between 8-10 ounces and when it came out it was smaller then the serving of potatoes on the plate and the potatoes were very dry. Our second entree was their award winning Slow Smoked Baby Back Ribs ($25) with warm potatoe salad, this dish was far from award winning and I have had far better ribs at Chili's. Our last entree was a Texas Peach Barbecued Pork Tenderloin with creamed corn and twice-baked potato ($25) the pork was under done and the entire dish was luke warm. We had taken a 2 1/2 year old with us to dinner and they were very accomidating. He is a picky eater and he ordered the hand-cut french fries ($5) which interesting tasted the best out of all our dishes. They were hot, nicely salted and had a great taste. For dessert we had the Butterfinger Creme Brulee ($6) which was to die for. We were celebrating a birthday and the dessert came on a decorated plate with "Happy Birthday " written in chocolate. The martinis were some of the best that we had every drank. We hope their eats improve until then we will be going elsewhere.
Pros: Great Decor, Great Date Place
Cons: Marginal Food, Expensive
