If you get your nails done once a week, then I envy you. If you get them done every other week, then I still envy you. Me? I get mine done whenever I'm feeling lucky. These days I feel lucky about once a month. A fresh mani for me, then, is a very happy thing. Only problem is that happiness doesn't seem to last very long. I'm a fitness trainer so for me a typical manicure begins to chip somewhere near the end of the second day. I always look down in sadness the moment I discover that first chip, thinking 'Can't you ever stay for more than two days?' So Today I'm writing about my nails because finally I've made it past 4 days without a chip or a scratch. Today in fact marks day seven. That's right, SEVEN! And to tell you the truth these nails look just as beautiful as the day I left Pure Nails a week ago. Not only did they do a beautiful job on my nails, but the atmosphere there was very pleasant. They only use fresh, sealed, sterile tools and environmentally friendly chemicals. I felt very welcome there, and look forward to my next visit.
Pros: Very long lasting nails

I've been to many nail salons and found Pure Nails to be a step up from the rest. The salon is clean, relaxing, and inviting. The treatments exceeded my expectations especially for the price! My technician was very nice and took her time when other salons rush through the foot massage. The location is convenient off of South Lamar as well. I'll definitely return and highly recommend Pure Nails if you are looking for high quality services but don't want to pay costly spa prices.

What a wonderful place. Thank you Pure Nails for creating a place for me. We needed this in Austin. Not only was the front staff professional & nice, my appointment was on time and my nails look better then they have in years. Your products are fabulous & I look forward to my next service soon. I'll be telling all my friends about your new place!! By the way, your all natural nail concept and your Salon is the best.
Pros: Just a perfect experience.

I went in for a pedicure. The interior is just great and I was looking forward to having my feet pampered. The girl scrubbed my feet way too hard and when I told her she was hurting me, she kept right on scrubbing. I was rushed through and didn't really enjoy the experience.

This place is the best nail salon I've been to in Austin. They are quick, efficient, and extremely friendly! I went in for a Ultimate Mani/Pedi for my birthday and was done after an hour. The foot and hand massage were amazing, not to mention their off-the-hook massage chairs! More importantly, the environment and the great staff allowed me to relax and enjoy the treatment. They knew exactly what my nails needed and went out of their way to make sure everything was to my liking. I will not go anywhere else from now on!
Pros: Perfect spot to get your nails done in a very relaxing environment
Cons: None that I experienced

This is a review for Pure & Austin Nails which is part of the Waxing Studio. It's an "eco-chic" nail salon. It actually smells good in here. They boast surgically sterilized instruments (sealed for each client) and fresh-flowing water for all pedicures (no standing-water basins). I hadn't had my nails done in, say, 7 years. I'm not much of a nail gal but my sister treated me and our mom to a manicure, so of course I was game. It was a very pleasant experience to be in a no-fume nail salon. The ceiling is vaulted, maybe 20 feet, and the walls are soothing celery green. The woman who did my nails was an expert with 20 plus years of experience. Our nails looked terrific after the session. I got a peek at a deluxe pedicure in action--the client enjoyed a lower leg sugar-salt scrub and was massaged and buffed in a plush looking chair while viewing a runway fashion show on the flat screen TV. My sister surprised me with a Gift Card for a pedicure! I guess my pedicure envy was fairly evident. I'm looking forward to the return visit so much.
Pros: Not your average Nail Salon
Cons: None to think of
