Erica is really the best!!! She does a really thorough consultation before you start and she has the best recommendations if you're not sure what you want (or if you have specific concerns, like I do). She's also incredibly friendly and gives the best and most reasonably priced hair cut & style in all of Austin. She has a client for life in me

Pros: talented hairstylist, close to downtown, convenient hours, parking lot, personal service, friendly staff, reasonably priced

Cons: none that I can think of

I had a horrible experience in the past with hair color and the last salon I visited dyed my hair from light brown to black. I went to Erica and she helped me strip out the old color and correct it to a color that I loved! Erica was extremely patient with me and the best thing about her service is that she will give you a free consultation before you start! I walked out happy with my hair color and my cut. I have been to lots of really nice salons in the past and I can honestly say that I have never had someone better than Erica work on my hair. I will definitely be going back to her for all my hair care needs! I highly suggest that you go to her she is truly the best of the best!!

Pros: There was a parking lot at the salon, everyone was friendly, and they make sure you leave happy!!

Erica St. Clair has changed our lives for the better! I know, that sounds really drastic, but it's true. Erica has been cutting my hair for the past year and a half, and I have always walked away incredibly happy with my hair as well as my total experience. Not only are her skills with the shears impressive, but she has the ability to understand exactly what I want as a fickle client and to suggest things that are appealing to me. During my last trip in there, my girlfriend (who is recently transplanted from Seattle) started chatting with Erica about how she's wanted to get bangs for the last year but was never comfortable enough to trust anyone to do them for fear of being a botched job of her overpriced stylist. Once Erica walked Sarah through what she suggested, Sarah felt good enough to sit down right then and there and enter a world of swooping bangs. She has never been so happy with a haircut (Erica didn't even charge her but I of course showed her our enthusiastic gratuity!), and has since been back in for a trim. I'm headed back in for my trim (I forgot to mention she is super-flexible with my work schedule and will schedule appointments when everyone else is gone at 6:30) and am happy to keep sending all my friends to this fun and engaging stylist.

Pros: Friendly service, well-honed listening skills, great conversationalist = FABULOUS HAIR

Cons: That you've been squandering money elsewhere...

Erica I wanted to send a colossal THANK YOU from San Diego for the outstanding job you did with my hair. Your knowledge and professionalism is phenomenal! When I returned home from my brief stay in Austin, my friends and colleagues had nothing but great things to say about my new cut and style. Next time I'm in Austin, clear a chair for me because without a doubt I'll be coming back. Thanks again Erica!

Spent much of 2007 looking for a new place to get my haircut. Lucky for me I found Catena's and Erica. The place is very cool, easy to get to and everyone makes you feel welcome. Erica is a pleasure to work with. She takes the time to get to know you and any issues you are having with your hair. Great experience. I'm already booked for my May cut.

Erica is a REALLY good hair stylist - I trust her to do a fantastic job on my hair and she always does. She's personable and listens to what you want and even helps/shows you how to do it yourself. Although I've never done it, I like that she also offers to do my bangs in between cuts for free as well - it's a nice touch. Highly recommend!

The best color job I have ever had was done by none other than Erica St. Clair. Being a stay at home mom the one thing I look forward to is getting my hair done. It is the great escape for me. Erica is great she makes the whole time enjoyable and relaxing. I get a couple of different color highlights every time, and since I have really thick hair man does it take some time. No sweat for her, she gets it done and still has time to cut and style it beautifully for me. Trust me this takes patients cause were talking at least 30 min of blowdrying. But over all it is always a great experience. I walk away feeling revived, and my hair looks great. That is enough to make a girl smile.
