Refund the money without question

by skin10 at Citysearch

Despite the lady who did my nail that didn't understand that I didn't like the polish color, I would go there again because of the first class service of the manager or owner, Wade.

I asked the lady to change the polish to a different color and she did, but I told her that the polish was too light, nothing like what was in the bottle! so i asked her to change it all back to the first color... but all I got was unfriendly "foreign" bad talk about me. I ended getting a french on the feet and hands because that's what the lady recommended. The white started chipping after 2 days and I demanded to talk to the manager to let him know of the problem I had with the lady. I got a call back the same day and he was very nice, unlike the lady that worked there! He was very understanding and asked me "... what do I want to accomplish with this complaint...", which I thought was rude at first. He sent me a full refund which I received in the mail the next day. Very pleased and humbled by this experience.

horrible, unskilled stylist, incompetent staff

by kaceyyy at Citysearch

The receptionist guy (who barely spoke english) confused my appointment time, and then placed me with some guy who was doing nails, and in retrospect, i question even had a license to do hair. Anyways, i must of said ten times, "NO BLEACH" as my hair is very fragile and i have a sensitivity to it. Guess what "genius" uses?!?! My scalp of course was burning, and my hair ended up looking like a fried disaster. I think they knew it looked bad because they talked back and forth to each other in Chinese at the OBVIOUS yellow splotches...but then maybe not because he seemed surprised when I didn't give him a tip...and I will NEVER waste my money there again!!

Great Salon

by agerald1312 at Citysearch

I have been searching for a hair dresser for years that knew how to give my curls a nice cut so that they always have a great shape even without doing much to it like blow drying it or spending hours on styling it in the morning.

I found this place through a friend and fell in love with the place right away.

The staff is very professional, young, mature and friendly.

They offer you a bottle of water upon arrival. Then you meet with a hair stylist who will spend time with you and always have a great idea and are experienced and knowleadgable in giving you suggestions on what your preference is for a cut or style.

The washers are great and friendly always and give you a nice massage while washing your hair.

Then you're off to the cut - and in just only few snippets of hair you're done with an amazing cut and style.

The stylists that I've met so far at the Salon are Tony and Kathy and they're both amazing.

Very happy with the Salon and would highly recommend it to all.

  • Pros: really good with curly hair

amazing and wonderful

by pierwizzy at Citysearch

I just moved here from Dallas and been looking for a stylist that can do my hair the way it was done back home. First salon was a mess, didn't know what they were doing! Then I gave this place a try.... It didn't take me that long to find Kathy as a keeper! She did an amazing job on my cut first and then I scheduled a color for the following week. The appointment setup was smoothe and they made me feel very very comfortable. There was no rush. The service was done in a reasonable time, just like what a pro would do! Kathy is by far one of the best in this area!

  • Pros: know exactly what to do

Great for parties!

by mbuck85 at Citysearch

We used this place for our mom's night out group. I didn't know this place was here! Everyone was friendly and the ppl there are very good. I get my pedicure done almost every 3 to 4 weeks and no one have done a better job than these the gentlemen that works on the far back left station.

Also, the price is incredibly reasonable but the service 10 of 10. I recommend this place!

The Best Salon Want to Feel Like Your in Beverly Hills

by canitbe at Citysearch

About 10 days ago I messed up my hair trying to coloring it myself. At 5pm I walked into the salon with pumpkin orange hair! Even though it was near the end of the day Toni assisted me. He got my hair back to a natural look of high and low lights. Cleaned up the cut and got me ready for a big interview I had the next day!

The price was affordable. The location in great. The salon is beautiful.

Instead of driving to Austin or folking out big bucks in LA or New York this is where I will take my business.

right price, right place

by hnn0404 at Citysearch

They one thing i liked most about this place is it's the nicest salon I've been too. My first impression upon parking, which was very pack that day, was that I might have to dish out some money to getting a trim.

Tony is great and knew what I wanted, make sure I was comfortable before he shampooed my hair. My last salon was horrible, I didn't even get to tell the cutter what I wanted, she just washed my hair and then said how much i wanted to take off. This place is professional, they made sure you're comfotable, which made the whole world of difference. No rush, very helpful and personable.

Highly recommend this place. btw, was referred by a friend and was a worth the bucks!

My Time Not Valuable

by juleskan at Citysearch

First I want to say that the staff I came in contact with was very courteous. For that I would give them high marks. But, when I arrived, the receptionist looked for my appointment, and apparently my name was not on the schedule even though I had scheduled this appointment 6 weeks earlier. Some time was blocked out, but my name was not associated with that appointment time. At the time I scheduled my appointment, I was told Vinh would be taking care of me. After waiting 20 minutes, Marcia came out and started discussing my hair with me. Then she asked me if I had some errands to run or if I wanted to wait. I was really confused by that. She then explained that she would not be able to start my hair for another 30 minutes until she got to a certain point with the client she was currently helping. That put me at not even STARTING my hair process until one hour AFTER my scheduled appointment. Once I informed her that I wouldn't be able to wait since I had another commitment, a commitment I would have easily been able to keep had my appointment started when it was scheduled, she offered an appointment the next morning, but no apology. There was nothing that indicated that maybe there was a scheduling error on their part or that my time was valuable or that it was too bad that I had just wasted an hour away from my family. As a mom of three young kids, it's not easy to find a block of 3 1/2 hours to get my hair done. I had found that time and now I'm back to square one. I'm very disappointed to say the least.

  • Pros: Courteous staff
  • Cons: Inefficient appointment making skills, disregard for client's time

should be called super cuts

by luvmyskyn at Citysearch

I went to get my hair cut. I get called back by this girl that sprays my head down with a bottle and cuts my hair. she did an ok job, but I never got a shampoo and was treated like cattle. Will not return for that reason., plus she is loud and was constantly talking in her lanuguage to the other lady there, whatever that is. Chinese or something. They were terrible. The service is terrible. No one speaks English at this place. Well, she did when speaking to you, but other than that. NOT!!!! I would not recomend this place to anyone. At all. Whatsoever. Should not be in North Austin. Move to East Austin where you belong. Or anywhere but here. LCP is not the place !

  • Pros: none
  • Cons: not a salon at all

Cool little Urban Salon in the 'Burbs

by fbogirl at Citysearch

I was tired of driving downtown to get my hair cut, so I decided to be daring and try this local salon when I received a coupon in the mail. Considering I was hesitant to even try Avant's north location or the new local Aveda salon, this was a big leap for me.

I had my appointment last Thursday evening with Vinh and I love my layered haircut! The soft spoken stylist had great technique and attention to detail. He was polite, helpful with tips, and wasn't overly chatty and I appreciate that! I have had far less impressive hair cuts at the big named Austin salons. I usually hate what people do with my bangs and he was intuitive as to what I wanted. With the coupon this haircut was a steal at only $20 (regularly $40), so I tipped 50%!

The salon is very clean and modern and I find the salon to have its own very distinctive urban charm. The owner's mother, who acted as receptionist when I called and when I arrived, may be a little hard to understand for some, I find her charming and hospitable.

My only complaint would be the music (sorta old fashioned in a bad way) and I am not in love with the scent of the shampoo and conditioner (though it seemed to work just fine, I tend to prefer more sweet or natural scents). Also, if I had a wish, it would be for a little scalp massage which is included at some salons.

Best of wishes to this cool little Cedar Park establishment!

  • Pros: Cleanliness, Modern, Skilled stylists, Nice location, Easy Parking, No pressure sales
  • Cons: Not many.
