LOVE Crystal!

Crystal KNOWS curly hair. It is hard to find someone who understands the temperment of my hair (and yes, it does have it's own temperment!) but Crystal not only knows and understands my curly hair, it listens to her! Thanks to her, my hair is actually manageable and looks good!

I have been going to Crystal for years and recommend so many friends and coworkers. She is awesome - I will follow her anywhere! I am glad she has landed at Karma. Love the atmosphere and decor, and it is so convenient to downtown.

Crystal has become a trusted friend over the years. Who else would I trust to cut and color my hair when I was 9 mos pregnant?! Love, love, LOVE Crystal!

AWESOME HAIRSTYLIST

Crystal was made to do hair. She is so awesome. She has done my hair for the past at least 5 or 6 years and I've followed her since she was in hair school. She's so worth it. I've never been disappointed, and she is good at caring about her clients and their opinions. She loves hair and you can tell. I strongly recommend her!

Crystal is the Best!

Crystal Blackerby has been my hair stylist - rather hair expert for several years now. If you want a great stylist that really cares about her clients, you should visit Crystal Blackerby at Karma Salon. I'm a no-frills kind of girl and I don't ever really know what I want when I go in to see Crystal. Crystal always helps me figure out exactly what I want, she keeps impeccable records of my previous cuts and color appointments, and I never leave looking anything less than fabulous. More importantly, for someone that doesn't really care much for luxury, my hair cut experience with Crystal is a special treat to myself without the hefty pricetag of other snooty salons. I have had people literally stop me on the street to find out where I got my color done! What are you waiting for, really? Do you want someone to tell you your hair looks BAD before you make an appointment? Why not make an appointment and start fending off the shower of compliments you'll get on your hair. :D

Additionally, Crystal has a strong commitment to the Austin community. Crystal partners with my young professional group - the Young Women's Alliance - to keep our ladies lookin' good while they're out there changing the world.

good men's cut

hairstylist vanessa gerron is new to karma salon and adds a ton of style to an already excellent salon. i travel constantly and can get a modern men's cut that works for business and pleasure. the whole experience is refreshing. vanwssa is a pro. karma is right downtown at East 6th off the highway and i am a super fan.

A Job beyond comparison - Vanessa Gerron

Vanessa has provided me with a solid cut and very natural looking colour. I get constan complements on my hair and am always quick to give Vanessa credit.

I leave feeling refreshed, happy, and looking a lot better than I did when I came --- It's my lucky day :)

Impressive

Hair is most important thing for me. I've been looking for someone can "UNDERSTAND" my hair situations for a long long..time. I went to many difference level salons, and no one have patients & not honest to me. My hair was so fizz and damages, thick, black & long. Until I found Vanessa from one of my best friends ' beauty queen". She told me about Vanessa. She is a friendly and honest person. " she will be HONEST to you what about your hair situation. She was right! Vanessa is a professional, she really knows what she is doing. I came asked for HELP, and she really did! She is my hair safer. I got my personality back! she gave me a lot

layers to makes my hair have more movement, feel weight less and healthier than EVER! easy and ready to go. We love Vanessa

As always, BEST Experience...one I use to drive 7 hours for!

I have been going to Tanya for over 5 years now including the year that I moved 7 hours away, I would still drive back every 6-8 weeks just to let her do my hair. She is one of the only stylists that I have ever been to that I can make only a few comments to about my hair and wind up with a cut and color that has amazed me everytime and is more so than better than what I expected. In the 5 years that I have gone to her, I don't think I have ever repeated an exact style or coloring. She is always looking forward and learning new techniques for edgey and trendy styles as well as maintaining her knowlege of all classics! She is truly one of the best!

As far as the salon itself....I love it! It has a great modern yet chill atmosphere to it. They have great daily specials as well for those of you watching the money. If you want a great experience and great new style then you must try Karma Salon!

The Leading Edge with New Hair Techniques and Products

I flew in from Dallas to see Tanya. She has years of experience working with all hair types. She applied the Keratin Complex Hair Treatment. My hair is naturally curly and fine. It takes me a good hour and a half to dry and flat iron my hair after every shampoo.

Now...after the Keratin treatment, my hair is silky and shiny...it takes me thirty minutes to dry and flat iron my hair...just the way I like it! It is so manageable!!

And the BONUS is...my hair doesn't frizz or curl when it's raining outside. Stays Straight!

So Convenient!

I love that Karma Salon is downtown now. There isn't anything better than to take a break from work and drop by Karma for a little pampering. Even if it's just to have my hair washed and blow-dried, it just makes the rest of the day a whole lot better! Kelley has done my hair for years now and has never failed to do something really wearable and creative for me.
